ऋग्वेद 7.53 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

प्र द्यावा यज्ञैः पृथिवी नमोभिः सबाध ईऴे बृहती यजत्रे । ते चिद्धि पूर्वे कवयो गृणन्तः पुरो मही दधिरे देवपुत्रे ॥

pra dyāvā yajñaiḥ pṛthivī namobhiḥ sabādha īḻe bṛhatī yajatre | te ciddhi pūrve kavayo gṛṇantaḥ puro mahī dadhire devaputre ||

Attended by a concourse (of priests) I worship the adorable and mighty Heaven and Earth withsacrifices and praises, those wo great ones of whom the gods are the sons, whom ancient sages glorifying haveformerly detained.

प्र पूर्वजे पितरा नव्यसीभिर्गीर्भिः कृणुध्वं सदने ऋतस्य । आ नो द्यावापृथिवी दैव्येन जनेन यातं महि वां वरूथम् ॥

pra pūrvaje pitarā navyasībhirgīrbhiḥ kṛṇudhvaṃ sadane ṛtasya | ā no dyāvāpṛthivī daivyena janena yātaṃ mahi vāṃ varūtham ||

plural ce before (us) in the hall of sacrifice, with new songs, the ancient parents (of all beings); come to us,Heaven and Earth, with the celestial people, for vast is your protecting (wealth).

उतो हि वां रत्नधेयानि सन्ति पुरूणि द्यावापृथिवी सुदासे । अस्मे धत्तं यदसदस्कृधोयु यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥

uto hi vāṃ ratnadheyāni santi purūṇi dyāvāpṛthivī sudāse | asme dhattaṃ yadasadaskṛdhoyu yūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ ||

Many, Heavan and Earth, are the treasures fit to be given to the pious donor (of the oblation); give to usthat wealth which is unlimited; and do you ever cherish us with blessings.
