ऋग्वेद 7.52 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

आदित्यासो अदितयः स्याम पूर्देवत्रा वसवो मर्त्यत्रा । सनेम मित्रावरुणा सनन्तो भवेम द्यावापृथिवी भवन्तः ॥

ādityāso aditayaḥ syāma pūrdevatrā vasavo martyatrā | sanema mitrāvaruṇā sananto bhavema dyāvāpṛthivī bhavantaḥ ||

Ādityas, may we be independent; Vasus, (dwelling) among the gods, may your protection (extend) tomortals; offering (oblations to you), Mitra and Varuṇa, may we partake (of your bounty); may we, heaven andearth exist (through your favour).

मित्रस्तन्नो वरुणो मामहन्त शर्म तोकाय तनयाय गोपाः । मा वो भुजेमान्यजातमेनो मा तत्कर्म वसवो यच्चयध्वे ॥

mitrastanno varuṇo māmahanta śarma tokāya tanayāya gopāḥ | mā vo bhujemānyajātameno mā tatkarma vasavo yaccayadhve ||

May Mitra and Varuṇa bestow upon us felicity; (may they), the guardians (of all men, bestow felicity)upon our sons and grandsons; let us not suffer (gods), for offences committed by another; let us not, Vasus, doany act by which you may be offended.

तुरण्यवोऽङ्गिरसो नक्षन्त रत्नं देवस्य सवितुरियानाः । पिता च तन्नो महान्यजत्रो विश्वे देवाः समनसो जुषन्त ॥

turaṇyavo'ṅgiraso nakṣanta ratnaṃ devasya savituriyānāḥ | pitā ca tanno mahānyajatro viśve devāḥ samanaso juṣanta ||

The Aṅgirasas, prompt (in worship), soliciting him obtain preious (wealth) from Savitā; may the mightyadorable parent, and the universal god alike favourable minded, approve (of the donation).
