[rv-7-37] • 8 श्लोकाः

आ वो वाहिष्ठो वहतु स्तवध्यै रथो वाजा ऋभुक्षणो अमृक्तः । अभि त्रिपृष्ठैः सवनेषु सोमैर्मदे सुशिप्रा महभिः पृणध्वम् ॥

ā vo vāhiṣṭho vahatu stavadhyai ratho vājā ṛbhukṣaṇo amṛktaḥ | abhi tripṛṣṭhaiḥ savaneṣu somairmade suśiprā mahabhiḥ pṛṇadhvam ||

Vājas, possessors of energy, let your capacious, commendable, and unobstructed chariot bring you(hither); be satiated, handsome-chinned, with the copious triply-combined libation (poured out) for yourexhilaration at our sacrifices.

यूयं ह रत्नं मघवत्सु धत्थ स्वर्दृश ऋभुक्षणो अमृक्तम् । सं यज्ञेषु स्वधावन्तः पिबध्वं वि नो राधांसि मतिभिर्दयध्वम् ॥

yūyaṃ ha ratnaṃ maghavatsu dhattha svardṛśa ṛbhukṣaṇo amṛktam | saṃ yajñeṣu svadhāvantaḥ pibadhvaṃ vi no rādhāṃsi matibhirdayadhvam ||

For you, Ṛbhukṣins, beholders of heaven, preserve unmolested the precious (treasure) for us who areaffluent (in sacrificial offerings); do you who are possessed of strengh, drink fully at (our) solemnities, and with(favourable) minds bestow upon us riches.

उवोचिथ हि मघवन्देष्णं महो अर्भस्य वसुनो विभागे । उभा ते पूर्णा वसुना गभस्ती न सूनृता नि यमते वसव्या ॥

uvocitha hi maghavandeṣṇaṃ maho arbhasya vasuno vibhāge | ubhā te pūrṇā vasunā gabhastī na sūnṛtā ni yamate vasavyā ||

You, Maghavan, have determined what is to be given in the apportionment of much or of little wealth,for both your hands are full of treasure, and your sincere (promises) of riches do not restrain them.

त्वमिन्द्र स्वयशा ऋभुक्षा वाजो न साधुरस्तमेष्यृक्वा । वयं नु ते दाश्वांसः स्याम ब्रह्म कृण्वन्तो हरिवो वसिष्ठाः ॥

tvamindra svayaśā ṛbhukṣā vājo na sādhurastameṣyṛkvā | vayaṃ nu te dāśvāṃsaḥ syāma brahma kṛṇvanto harivo vasiṣṭhāḥ ||

Do you, Indra, who are Ṛbhukṣin, and of especial renown, who, like food, are the fulfiller (of wants),come to the dwelling of the worshipper; lord of bay horses, may we, Vasiṣṭhas, be today the donors (of theofferings) to yo, the celebrators of your praise.

सनितासि प्रवतो दाशुषे चिद्याभिर्विवेषो हर्यश्व धीभिः । ववन्मा नु ते युज्याभिरूती कदा न इन्द्र राय आ दशस्येः ॥

sanitāsi pravato dāśuṣe cidyābhirviveṣo haryaśva dhībhiḥ | vavanmā nu te yujyābhirūtī kadā na indra rāya ā daśasyeḥ ||

Lord of bay horses, you are the giver of descending (wealth) to the donor (of the oblation), by whosesacred rites you are magnified; when may you bestow upon us riches; when may we be secure by yourappropriate protections.

वासयसीव वेधसस्त्वं नः कदा न इन्द्र वचसो बुबोधः । अस्तं तात्या धिया रयिं सुवीरं पृक्षो नो अर्वा न्युहीत वाजी ॥

vāsayasīva vedhasastvaṃ naḥ kadā na indra vacaso bubodhaḥ | astaṃ tātyā dhiyā rayiṃ suvīraṃ pṛkṣo no arvā nyuhīta vājī ||

When, Indra, will you appreciate our praise; at present you establish us (your) adorers in our dwelling;let your swift horse, (influenced) by our protracted solemnity, convey to our abode riches, male offspring, andfood.

अभि यं देवी निॠतिश्चिदीशे नक्षन्त इन्द्रं शरदः सुपृक्षः । उप त्रिबन्धुर्जरदष्टिमेत्यस्ववेशं यं कृणवन्त मर्ताः ॥

abhi yaṃ devī niṝtiścidīśe nakṣanta indraṃ śaradaḥ supṛkṣaḥ | upa tribandhurjaradaṣṭimetyasvaveśaṃ yaṃ kṛṇavanta martāḥ ||

Indra, the upholder of the three regions, whom the divine Nirṛti acknowledges as ruler, whom abundantyears pass over, whom mortals detain from his own abode, approaches to (recruit) his decaying strength.

आ नो राधांसि सवित स्तवध्या आ रायो यन्तु पर्वतस्य रातौ । सदा नो दिव्यः पायुः सिषक्तु यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥

ā no rādhāṃsi savita stavadhyā ā rāyo yantu parvatasya rātau | sadā no divyaḥ pāyuḥ siṣaktu yūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ ||

May riches worthy of laudation come, Savitā, to us; riches that are in the bestow of Parvata; may theheavenly protector (of all) preserve us; and, do you (Universal gods), ever cherish us with blessings.
