ऋग्वेद 9.31 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

प्र सोमासः स्वाध्यः पवमानासो अक्रमुः । रयिं कृण्वन्ति चेतनम् ॥

pra somāsaḥ svādhyaḥ pavamānāso akramuḥ | rayiṃ kṛṇvanti cetanam ||

The benevolent juices being purified flow forth, they confer intellectual wealth.

दिवस्पृथिव्या अधि भवेन्दो द्युम्नवर्धनः । भवा वाजानां पतिः ॥

divaspṛthivyā adhi bhavendo dyumnavardhanaḥ | bhavā vājānāṃ patiḥ ||

Indu, be (to us) the augmenter of the riches of heaven and earth, be the lord of food.

तुभ्यं वाता अभिप्रियस्तुभ्यमर्षन्ति सिन्धवः । सोम वर्धन्ति ते महः ॥

tubhyaṃ vātā abhipriyastubhyamarṣanti sindhavaḥ | soma vardhanti te mahaḥ ||

For you, Soma, the winds are gracious, for you the rivers flow, they magnify your greatness.

आ प्यायस्व समेतु ते विश्वतः सोम वृष्ण्यम् । भवा वाजस्य संगथे ॥

ā pyāyasva sametu te viśvataḥ soma vṛṣṇyam | bhavā vājasya saṃgathe ||

Be well nourished, Soma; may vigour come to you from all sides, be (the giver) of strength in battle.

तुभ्यं गावो घृतं पयो बभ्रो दुदुह्रे अक्षितम् । वर्षिष्ठे अधि सानवि ॥

tubhyaṃ gāvo ghṛtaṃ payo babhro duduhre akṣitam | varṣiṣṭhe adhi sānavi ||

Tawny-tinted (Soma), the cows yield butter and milk inexhaustible for you (set) on the highest summit.

स्वायुधस्य ते सतो भुवनस्य पते वयम् । इन्दो सखित्वमुश्मसि ॥

svāyudhasya te sato bhuvanasya pate vayam | indo sakhitvamuśmasi ||

Indu, lord of beings, we desire the friendship of you, the well-armed.
