ऋग्वेद 9.19 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

यत्सोम चित्रमुक्थ्यं दिव्यं पार्थिवं वसु । तन्नः पुनान आ भर ॥

yatsoma citramukthyaṃ divyaṃ pārthivaṃ vasu | tannaḥ punāna ā bhara ||

Whatever wonderful glorious wealth there be in heaven or in earth, do you, Soma, being purified, bring it to us.

युवं हि स्थः स्वर्पती इन्द्रश्च सोम गोपती । ईशाना पिप्यतं धियः ॥

yuvaṃ hi sthaḥ svarpatī indraśca soma gopatī | īśānā pipyataṃ dhiyaḥ ||

You, Soma and Indra, are the lords of all the lords of cattle, do you, the rulers, prosper our rites.

वृषा पुनान आयुषु स्तनयन्नधि बर्हिषि । हरिः सन्योनिमासदत् ॥

vṛṣā punāna āyuṣu stanayannadhi barhiṣi | hariḥ sanyonimāsadat ||

The showerer (of benefits) being purified among men (lies) murmuring upon the sacred grass, green-tinted he sits down in his proper plural ce.

अवावशन्त धीतयो वृषभस्याधि रेतसि । सूनोर्वत्सस्य मातरः ॥

avāvaśanta dhītayo vṛṣabhasyādhi retasi | sūnorvatsasya mātaraḥ ||

The mothers of the male calf, which are sucked by him, long to cherish the bull with their strength.

कुविद्वृषण्यन्तीभ्यः पुनानो गर्भमादधत् । याः शुक्रं दुहते पयः ॥

kuvidvṛṣaṇyantībhyaḥ punāno garbhamādadhat | yāḥ śukraṃ duhate payaḥ ||

The purified Soma has implanted many a germ in those (waters) desirous of conception, which yield bright milk.

उप शिक्षापतस्थुषो भियसमा धेहि शत्रुषु । पवमान विदा रयिम् ॥

upa śikṣāpatasthuṣo bhiyasamā dhehi śatruṣu | pavamāna vidā rayim ||

Bring near to us those who stand aloof, strike terror into our fores; pure-flowing one, you do transfer to us their riches.

नि शत्रोः सोम वृष्ण्यं नि शुष्मं नि वयस्तिर । दूरे वा सतो अन्ति वा ॥

ni śatroḥ soma vṛṣṇyaṃ ni śuṣmaṃ ni vayastira | dūre vā sato anti vā ||

Destroy, Soma, the vigour, the energy, the subsistence of our enemy, whether he be far off or nigh.
