ऋग्वेद 9.103 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

प्र पुनानाय वेधसे सोमाय वच उद्यतम् । भृतिं न भरा मतिभिर्जुजोषते ॥

pra punānāya vedhase somāya vaca udyatam | bhṛtiṃ na bharā matibhirjujoṣate ||

Raise a loud voice to Soma the instrumental tutor (of the rite), purified, gratified by praises, as (men pay) wages (to a labourer).

परि वाराण्यव्यया गोभिरञ्जानो अर्षति । त्री षधस्था पुनानः कृणुते हरिः ॥

pari vārāṇyavyayā gobhirañjāno arṣati | trī ṣadhasthā punānaḥ kṛṇute hariḥ ||

Blending with the curds and milk the Soma rushes through the woollen fleece; the green-tinted Soma being purified takes up three stations.

परि कोशं मधुश्चुतमव्यये वारे अर्षति । अभि वाणीॠषीणां सप्त नूषत ॥

pari kośaṃ madhuścutamavyaye vāre arṣati | abhi vāṇīṝṣīṇāṃ sapta nūṣata ||

The Soma sends forth (its juice) through the woollen fleece to the honey-dripping receptacle; the seven metres of the ṛṣis praise (it).

परि णेता मतीनां विश्वदेवो अदाभ्यः । सोमः पुनानश्चम्वोर्विशद्धरिः ॥

pari ṇetā matīnāṃ viśvadevo adābhyaḥ | somaḥ punānaścamvorviśaddhariḥ ||

Soma, the leader of praises, in whom all the gods are comprehended, unassailable, green-tinted when filtered, enters the cups.

परि दैवीरनु स्वधा इन्द्रेण याहि सरथम् । पुनानो वाघद्वाघद्भिरमर्त्यः ॥

pari daivīranu svadhā indreṇa yāhi saratham | punāno vāghadvāghadbhiramartyaḥ ||

Proceed in the same chariot with Indra to the celestial hosts, a priest purified by priests, immortal.

परि सप्तिर्न वाजयुर्देवो देवेभ्यः सुतः । व्यानशिः पवमानो वि धावति ॥

pari saptirna vājayurdevo devebhyaḥ sutaḥ | vyānaśiḥ pavamāno vi dhāvati ||

Like a charger eager for the combat the divine (Soma) effused for the gods hastens when purified spreading widely into the vessels.
