ऋग्वेद 7.65 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

प्रति वां सूर उदिते सूक्तैर्मित्रं हुवे वरुणं पूतदक्षम् । ययोरसुर्यमक्षितं ज्येष्ठं विश्वस्य यामन्नाचिता जिगत्नु ॥

prati vāṃ sūra udite sūktairmitraṃ huve varuṇaṃ pūtadakṣam | yayorasuryamakṣitaṃ jyeṣṭhaṃ viśvasya yāmannācitā jigatnu ||

When the sun has risen, I invoke Mitra and you, Varuṇa, of pure vigour, whose imperishable andsuperior might is triumphant in the crowded conflict over all enemies.

ता हि देवानामसुरा तावर्या ता नः क्षितीः करतमूर्जयन्तीः । अश्याम मित्रावरुणा वयं वां द्यावा च यत्र पीपयन्नहा च ॥

tā hi devānāmasurā tāvaryā tā naḥ kṣitīḥ karatamūrjayantīḥ | aśyāma mitrāvaruṇā vayaṃ vāṃ dyāvā ca yatra pīpayannahā ca ||

They verily are mighty among the gods; they are rulers; they bestow upon us a numerous posterity;may we obtain from you, Mitra and Varuṇa, whether on earth or in heaven, and whereever the (passing) daysmay preserve us.

ता भूरिपाशावनृतस्य सेतू दुरत्येतू रिपवे मर्त्याय । ऋतस्य मित्रावरुणा पथा वामपो न नावा दुरिता तरेम ॥

tā bhūripāśāvanṛtasya setū duratyetū ripave martyāya | ṛtasya mitrāvaruṇā pathā vāmapo na nāvā duritā tarema ||

Holders are you of many fetters, barriers against the irreligious, invincible by hostile mortals; may wecross over all the danger, Mitra and Varuṇa, by the path of sacrifice, to you, as (we cross over) water by a boat.

आ नो मित्रावरुणा हव्यजुष्टिं घृतैर्गव्यूतिमुक्षतमिऴाभिः । प्रति वामत्र वरमा जनाय पृणीतमुद्नो दिव्यस्य चारोः ॥

ā no mitrāvaruṇā havyajuṣṭiṃ ghṛtairgavyūtimukṣatamiḻābhiḥ | prati vāmatra varamā janāya pṛṇītamudno divyasya cāroḥ ||

Come, Mitra and Varuṇa, to our offered oblation sprinkle our plural ce of sacrifice with water and withviands (who) in this world (may present to you such) excellent (donations) that you may (thereby be induced to)gratify mankind with celestial and beautiful water.

एष स्तोमो वरुण मित्र तुभ्यं सोमः शुक्रो न वायवेऽयामि । अविष्टं धियो जिगृतं पुरंधीर्यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥

eṣa stomo varuṇa mitra tubhyaṃ somaḥ śukro na vāyave'yāmi | aviṣṭaṃ dhiyo jigṛtaṃ puraṃdhīryūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ ||

Varuṇa and Mitra, this praise, pure as the Soma libation, has been offered to you, and also, Aryaman(to you); protect our rites; be awake to our praises; and do you ever cherish us with blessings.
