[rv-7-24] • 6 श्लोकाः

योनिष्ट इन्द्र सदने अकारि तमा नृभिः पुरुहूत प्र याहि । असो यथा नोऽविता वृधे च ददो वसूनि ममदश्च सोमैः ॥

yoniṣṭa indra sadane akāri tamā nṛbhiḥ puruhūta pra yāhi | aso yathā no'vitā vṛdhe ca dado vasūni mamadaśca somaiḥ ||

A plural ce has been prepared for you in the sacrificial chamber; proceed to it, invoked of many, along withthe leaders (of rites the Maruts), inasmuch as you are our protector, (promote our) prosperity; grant us riches; beexhilarated by the Soma.

गृभीतं ते मन इन्द्र द्विबर्हाः सुतः सोमः परिषिक्ता मधूनि । विसृष्टधेना भरते सुवृक्तिरियमिन्द्रं जोहुवती मनीषा ॥

gṛbhītaṃ te mana indra dvibarhāḥ sutaḥ somaḥ pariṣiktā madhūni | visṛṣṭadhenā bharate suvṛktiriyamindraṃ johuvatī manīṣā ||

Your purpose, Indra, is apprehended, you who are mighty in the two (worlds); the Soma is effused; thesweet juices are poured (into the vessels); this perfect praise uttered with loosened tongue propitiates Indra withrepeated invocations.

आ नो दिव आ पृथिव्या ऋजीषिन्निदं बर्हिः सोमपेयाय याहि । वहन्तु त्वा हरयो मद्र्यञ्चमाङ्गूषमच्छा तवसं मदाय ॥

ā no diva ā pṛthivyā ṛjīṣinnidaṃ barhiḥ somapeyāya yāhi | vahantu tvā harayo madryañcamāṅgūṣamacchā tavasaṃ madāya ||

Come, Rijishin, from the sky, or from the firmament, to this sacred gras, to drink the Soma; let yourhorses bear you who are vigorous to my presence to (receive my) praise and for (thine) exhilaration.

आ नो विश्वाभिरूतिभिः सजोषा ब्रह्म जुषाणो हर्यश्व याहि । वरीवृजत्स्थविरेभिः सुशिप्रास्मे दधद्वृषणं शुष्ममिन्द्र ॥

ā no viśvābhirūtibhiḥ sajoṣā brahma juṣāṇo haryaśva yāhi | varīvṛjatsthavirebhiḥ suśiprāsme dadhadvṛṣaṇaṃ śuṣmamindra ||

Lord of bay steeds, propitiated by our praise, come to us with all your protections, sharing insatisfaction, handsome-chinned, with the ancient (Maruts), overthrowing repeatedly (your) foes, and granting usa strong and vigorous (son).

एष स्तोमो मह उग्राय वाहे धुरीवात्यो न वाजयन्नधायि । इन्द्र त्वायमर्क ईट्टे वसूनां दिवीव द्यामधि नः श्रोमतं धाः ॥

eṣa stomo maha ugrāya vāhe dhurīvātyo na vājayannadhāyi | indra tvāyamarka īṭṭe vasūnāṃ divīva dyāmadhi naḥ śromataṃ dhāḥ ||

This invogorating praise, like a horse attached, to car, has been addressed to you who are mighty andfierce, the up-bearer (of the world); this thine adorer desires of you, Indra, riches; do you grant us sustenancenotorious as the sky in heaven.

एवा न इन्द्र वार्यस्य पूर्धि प्र ते महीं सुमतिं वेविदाम । इषं पिन्व मघवद्भ्यः सुवीरां यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥

evā na indra vāryasya pūrdhi pra te mahīṃ sumatiṃ vevidāma | iṣaṃ pinva maghavadbhyaḥ suvīrāṃ yūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ ||

In this manner, Indra, satisfy us (with the gift) of desirable (wealth); may we repeatedly experience yougreat giver; bestow upon us who are opulent (in offerings) food with male descendants; do you ever cherish uswith blessings.
