ऋग्वेद 9.79 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अचोदसो नो धन्वन्त्विन्दवः प्र सुवानासो बृहद्दिवेषु हरयः । वि च नशन्न इषो अरातयोऽर्यो नशन्त सनिषन्त नो धियः ॥

acodaso no dhanvantvindavaḥ pra suvānāso bṛhaddiveṣu harayaḥ | vi ca naśanna iṣo arātayo'ryo naśanta saniṣanta no dhiyaḥ ||

May the spontaneous Soma-juices flow to us at the brilliant (sacrifices), green-tinted, effused; may they be destroyed who are the withholders of food from us; may (our) foes be destroyed; may (the gods) enjoy our pious acts.

प्र णो धन्वन्त्विन्दवो मदच्युतो धना वा येभिरर्वतो जुनीमसि । तिरो मर्तस्य कस्य चित्परिह्वृतिं वयं धनानि विश्वधा भरेमहि ॥

pra ṇo dhanvantvindavo madacyuto dhanā vā yebhirarvato junīmasi | tiro martasya kasya citparihvṛtiṃ vayaṃ dhanāni viśvadhā bharemahi ||

May they flow to us, may they bring us riches-- the honey-dropping Soma-juices by whose aid we encounter the powerful (enemy); may we overcoming the opposition of every man always bear off his wealth.

उत स्वस्या अरात्या अरिर्हि ष उतान्यस्या अरात्या वृको हि षः । धन्वन्न तृष्णा समरीत ताँ अभि सोम जहि पवमान दुराध्यः ॥

uta svasyā arātyā arirhi ṣa utānyasyā arātyā vṛko hi ṣaḥ | dhanvanna tṛṣṇā samarīta tā~ abhi soma jahi pavamāna durādhyaḥ ||

For the (Soma) verily is the foe of his own enemy and the destroyer of the enemy of another; as thirst overcomes one in a desert, so purified Soma, who are irresistible, slay (both) those (adversaries).

दिवि ते नाभा परमो य आददे पृथिव्यास्ते रुरुहुः सानवि क्षिपः । अद्रयस्त्वा बप्सति गोरधि त्वच्यप्सु त्वा हस्तैर्दुदुहुर्मनीषिणः ॥

divi te nābhā paramo ya ādade pṛthivyāste ruruhuḥ sānavi kṣipaḥ | adrayastvā bapsati goradhi tvacyapsu tvā hastairduduhurmanīṣiṇaḥ ||

Your best juice (dwells) in the navel of heaven, that which receives (the oblation); your (members) grow up thrown upon the summit of the earth; the stones devour you upon the cowhide; the wise (priests) milk you into the water with their hands.

एवा त इन्दो सुभ्वं सुपेशसं रसं तुञ्जन्ति प्रथमा अभिश्रियः । निदंनिदं पवमान नि तारिष आविस्ते शुष्मो भवतु प्रियो मदः ॥

evā ta indo subhvaṃ supeśasaṃ rasaṃ tuñjanti prathamā abhiśriyaḥ | nidaṃnidaṃ pavamāna ni tāriṣa āviste śuṣmo bhavatu priyo madaḥ ||

Thus, Indu, the chief (priests) making the mixture send forth your well-lodged, well-formed juice (rasa); purified Soma, destroy (our) reviler; let your potent, delightful, exhilarating (juice) appoear.
