ऋग्वेद 9.53 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

उत्ते शुष्मासो अस्थू रक्षो भिन्दन्तो अद्रिवः । नुदस्व याः परिस्पृधः ॥

utte śuṣmāso asthū rakṣo bhindanto adrivaḥ | nudasva yāḥ parispṛdhaḥ ||

(Soma) armed with the stones, your powerful streams rise up scattering the rākṣasas; drive away those who are our adversaries.

अया निजघ्निरोजसा रथसंगे धने हिते । स्तवा अबिभ्युषा हृदा ॥

ayā nijaghnirojasā rathasaṃge dhane hite | stavā abibhyuṣā hṛdā ||

(You are) by this strength the discomfited (of foes), I praise you with a fearless heart for the sake of (our) line of chariots ranged (against the foe) and for the sake of wealth.

अस्य व्रतानि नाधृषे पवमानस्य दूढ्या । रुज यस्त्वा पृतन्यति ॥

asya vratāni nādhṛṣe pavamānasya dūḍhyā | ruja yastvā pṛtanyati ||

The prowess of you (Soma) as you are poured forth is irresistible against the malignant (rākṣasas); destroy him who defies you to battle.

तं हिन्वन्ति मदच्युतं हरिं नदीषु वाजिनम् । इन्दुमिन्द्राय मत्सरम् ॥

taṃ hinvanti madacyutaṃ hariṃ nadīṣu vājinam | indumindrāya matsaram ||

(The priests) plural nge Indu, honey-dropping, green-tinted, vigorous, exhilarating, into the waters for Indra.
