[rv-8-87] • 6 श्लोकाः

द्युम्नी वां स्तोमो अश्विना क्रिविर्न सेक आ गतम् । मध्वः सुतस्य स दिवि प्रियो नरा पातं गौराविवेरिणे ॥

dyumnī vāṃ stomo aśvinā krivirna seka ā gatam | madhvaḥ sutasya sa divi priyo narā pātaṃ gaurāviveriṇe ||

Aśvins, your praise is filled with plural nty as a well (with water) in time of rain; hasten here; it is especiallydear to the Soma when it is effused in the brilliant (offering); drink, leaders (of rites), as two Gauras (drink), at apool.

पिबतं घर्मं मधुमन्तमश्विना बर्हिः सीदतं नरा । ता मन्दसाना मनुषो दुरोण आ नि पातं वेदसा वयः ॥

pibataṃ gharmaṃ madhumantamaśvinā barhiḥ sīdataṃ narā | tā mandasānā manuṣo duroṇa ā ni pātaṃ vedasā vayaḥ ||

Drink, Aśvins, the exhilarating (Soma) as it drops (into the vessels)- - seat yourselves, leaders, on thesacrificial grass; rejoicing in the house of the worshipper, drink the sacred Soma with the oblation.

आ वां विश्वाभिरूतिभिः प्रियमेधा अहूषत । ता वर्तिर्यातमुप वृक्तबर्हिषो जुष्टं यज्ञं दिविष्टिषु ॥

ā vāṃ viśvābhirūtibhiḥ priyamedhā ahūṣata | tā vartiryātamupa vṛktabarhiṣo juṣṭaṃ yajñaṃ diviṣṭiṣu ||

The worshippers have invoked you with all protections; come in the early mornings to the dwelling ofhim who has clipped the sacred grass, to the offering loved (by all the gods).

पिबतं सोमं मधुमन्तमश्विना बर्हिः सीदतं सुमत् । ता वावृधाना उप सुष्टुतिं दिवो गन्तं गौराविवेरिणम् ॥

pibataṃ somaṃ madhumantamaśvinā barhiḥ sīdataṃ sumat | tā vāvṛdhānā upa suṣṭutiṃ divo gantaṃ gaurāviveriṇam ||

Aśvins, drink the exhilarating Soma, sit down in your radiance on the sacrificial grass; waxing strong(through the libation), come from heaven to our praises as two Gadras to a pool.

आ नूनं यातमश्विनाश्वेभिः प्रुषितप्सुभिः । दस्रा हिरण्यवर्तनी शुभस्पती पातं सोममृतावृधा ॥

ā nūnaṃ yātamaśvināśvebhiḥ pruṣitapsubhiḥ | dasrā hiraṇyavartanī śubhaspatī pātaṃ somamṛtāvṛdhā ||

Come, Aśvins, with your glossy steeds, Dasras, riding in golden chariots, lords of good fortune,upholders of truth, drink the Soma.

वयं हि वां हवामहे विपन्यवो विप्रासो वाजसातये । ता वल्गू दस्रा पुरुदंससा धियाश्विना श्रुष्ट्या गतम् ॥

vayaṃ hi vāṃ havāmahe vipanyavo viprāso vājasātaye | tā valgū dasrā purudaṃsasā dhiyāśvinā śruṣṭyā gatam ||

We, your wise praisers, invoke you to the enjoyment of the sacrificial viands; come quickly, Dasras, atthe sound of our praise, Aśvins, graceful in your movements, abounding in mighty deeds.
