[rv-8-36] • 7 श्लोकाः

अवितासि सुन्वतो वृक्तबर्हिषः पिबा सोमं मदाय कं शतक्रतो । यं ते भागमधारयन्विश्वाः सेहानः पृतना उरु ज्रयः समप्सुजिन्मरुत्वाँ इन्द्र सत्पते ॥

avitāsi sunvato vṛktabarhiṣaḥ pibā somaṃ madāya kaṃ śatakrato | yaṃ te bhāgamadhārayanviśvāḥ sehānaḥ pṛtanā uru jrayaḥ samapsujinmarutvā~ indra satpate ||

You are the protector of the effuser of the libation, of the strewer of he clipped sacred grass; drinkjoyfully, Śatakratu, the Soma for your exhilaration-- that portion which (the gods) assigned you, Indra, lord of thevirtuous, who are the victor over all (hostile) hosts, the conqueror of many, the subduer of the waters, the leaderof the Maruts.

प्राव स्तोतारं मघवन्नव त्वां पिबा सोमं मदाय कं शतक्रतो । यं ते भागमधारयन्विश्वाः सेहानः पृतना उरु ज्रयः समप्सुजिन्मरुत्वाँ इन्द्र सत्पते ॥

prāva stotāraṃ maghavannava tvāṃ pibā somaṃ madāya kaṃ śatakrato | yaṃ te bhāgamadhārayanviśvāḥ sehānaḥ pṛtanā uru jrayaḥ samapsujinmarutvā~ indra satpate ||

Protect the worshippers, Maghavan, protect thyself; drink joyfully, Śatakratu, the Soma for yourexhilaration-- that portion which (the gods) assigned you, Indra, lord of the virtuous, who are the victor over all(hostile) hosts, the conqueror of many, the subduer of the waters, the leader of the Maruts.

ऊर्जा देवाँ अवस्योजसा त्वां पिबा सोमं मदाय कं शतक्रतो । यं ते भागमधारयन्विश्वाः सेहानः पृतना उरु ज्रयः समप्सुजिन्मरुत्वाँ इन्द्र सत्पते ॥

ūrjā devā~ avasyojasā tvāṃ pibā somaṃ madāya kaṃ śatakrato | yaṃ te bhāgamadhārayanviśvāḥ sehānaḥ pṛtanā uru jrayaḥ samapsujinmarutvā~ indra satpate ||

You, Maghavan, protect the gods with (sacrificial) food, and yourself by your might; drink joyfully,Śatakratu, the Soma for your exhilaration-- that portion which (the gods) assigned you, Indra, lord of the virtuous,who are the victor over all (hostile) hosts, the conqueror of many, the subduer of the waters, the leader of theMaruts.

जनिता दिवो जनिता पृथिव्याः पिबा सोमं मदाय कं शतक्रतो । यं ते भागमधारयन्विश्वाः सेहानः पृतना उरु ज्रयः समप्सुजिन्मरुत्वाँ इन्द्र सत्पते ॥

janitā divo janitā pṛthivyāḥ pibā somaṃ madāya kaṃ śatakrato | yaṃ te bhāgamadhārayanviśvāḥ sehānaḥ pṛtanā uru jrayaḥ samapsujinmarutvā~ indra satpate ||

You, are the genitive rator of heaven, the genitive rator of earth; drink joyfully, Śatakratu, the Soma for yourexhilaration-- that portion which (the gods) assigned you, Indra, lord of the virtuous, who are the victor over all(hostile) hosts, the conqueror of many, the subduer of the waters, the leader of the Maruts.

जनिताश्वानां जनिता गवामसि पिबा सोमं मदाय कं शतक्रतो । यं ते भागमधारयन्विश्वाः सेहानः पृतना उरु ज्रयः समप्सुजिन्मरुत्वाँ इन्द्र सत्पते ॥

janitāśvānāṃ janitā gavāmasi pibā somaṃ madāya kaṃ śatakrato | yaṃ te bhāgamadhārayanviśvāḥ sehānaḥ pṛtanā uru jrayaḥ samapsujinmarutvā~ indra satpate ||

You are the genitive rator of horses, the genitive rator of cattle; drink joyfully, Śatakratu, the Soma for yourexhilaration-- that portion which (the gods) assigned you, Indra, lord of the virtuous, who are the victor over all(hostile) hosts, the conqueror of many, the subduer of the waters, the leader of the Maruts.

अत्रीणां स्तोममद्रिवो महस्कृधि पिबा सोमं मदाय कं शतक्रतो । यं ते भागमधारयन्विश्वाः सेहानः पृतना उरु ज्रयः समप्सुजिन्मरुत्वाँ इन्द्र सत्पते ॥

atrīṇāṃ stomamadrivo mahaskṛdhi pibā somaṃ madāya kaṃ śatakrato | yaṃ te bhāgamadhārayanviśvāḥ sehānaḥ pṛtanā uru jrayaḥ samapsujinmarutvā~ indra satpate ||

Wielder of the thunderbolt, reverence the praise of the Atris; drink joyfully, Śatakratu, the Soma for yourexhilaration-- that portion which (the gods) assigned you, Indra, lord of the virtuous, who are the victor over all(hostile) hosts, the conqueror of many, the subduer of the waters, the leader of the Maruts.

श्यावाश्वस्य सुन्वतस्तथा शृणु यथाशृणोरत्रेः कर्माणि कृण्वतः । प्र त्रसदस्युमाविथ त्वमेक इन्नृषाह्य इन्द्र ब्रह्माणि वर्धयन् ॥

śyāvāśvasya sunvatastathā śṛṇu yathāśṛṇoratreḥ karmāṇi kṛṇvataḥ | pra trasadasyumāvitha tvameka innṛṣāhya indra brahmāṇi vardhayan ||

Hear (the praises) of Śyāvāśva offering the libations, as you have heard (those) of Atri engaged inholy rites; you alone, Indra, have defended Trasadasyu in battle, animating his prayers.
