अग्निनेन्द्रेण वरुणेन विष्णुनादित्यै रुद्रैर्वसुभिः सचाभुवा । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च सोमं पिबतमश्विना ॥

agninendreṇa varuṇena viṣṇunādityai rudrairvasubhiḥ sacābhuvā | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca somaṃ pibatamaśvinā ||

Associated with Agni, with Indra, with Varuṇa, with Viṣṇu, with the Ādityas, the Rudras, and theVasus, and united with the dawn and with Sūrya, drink, Aśvins, the Soma.

विश्वाभिर्धीभिर्भुवनेन वाजिना दिवा पृथिव्याद्रिभिः सचाभुवा । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च सोमं पिबतमश्विना ॥

viśvābhirdhībhirbhuvanena vājinā divā pṛthivyādribhiḥ sacābhuvā | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca somaṃ pibatamaśvinā ||

Powerful (Aśvins), associated with all intelligences, with all beings, with heaven, with earth, with themountains, united with the dawn and with the Sūrya, drink, Aśvins, the Soma.

विश्वैर्देवैस्त्रिभिरेकादशैरिहाद्भिर्मरुद्भिर्भृगुभिः सचाभुवा । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च सोमं पिबतमश्विना ॥

viśvairdevaistribhirekādaśairihādbhirmarudbhirbhṛgubhiḥ sacābhuvā | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca somaṃ pibatamaśvinā ||

Associated with all the thrice-eleven deities at this ceremony, with the waters, with the Maruts, with theBhṛgus, united with the dawn and with Sūrya, drink, Aśvins, the Soma.

जुषेथां यज्ञं बोधतं हवस्य मे विश्वेह देवौ सवनाव गच्छतम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चेषं नो वोऴ्हमश्विना ॥

juṣethāṃ yajñaṃ bodhataṃ havasya me viśveha devau savanāva gacchatam | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ceṣaṃ no voḻhamaśvinā ||

Be gratified by the sacrifice; hear my invocation; recognize, deities, all the offerings in this ceremony;united with the dawn and with Sūrya, bring us Aśvins, food.

स्तोमं जुषेथां युवशेव कन्यनां विश्वेह देवौ सवनाव गच्छतम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चेषं नो वोऴ्हमश्विना ॥

stomaṃ juṣethāṃ yuvaśeva kanyanāṃ viśveha devau savanāva gacchatam | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ceṣaṃ no voḻhamaśvinā ||

Be gratified by our praise as youths are delighted (by the voices) of maidens; recognize, deities, all theofferings in this ceremony; united with the dawn adn with Sūrya, bring us, Aśvins, food.

गिरो जुषेथामध्वरं जुषेथां विश्वेह देवौ सवनाव गच्छतम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चेषं नो वोऴ्हमश्विना ॥

giro juṣethāmadhvaraṃ juṣethāṃ viśveha devau savanāva gacchatam | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ceṣaṃ no voḻhamaśvinā ||

Be gratified, deities, by our praises, be gratified by the sacrifice, recognize, deities, all the offerings inthis ceremony; united with the dawn and with Sūrya, bring us, Aśvins, food.

हारिद्रवेव पतथो वनेदुप सोमं सुतं महिषेवाव गच्छथः । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च त्रिर्वर्तिर्यातमश्विना ॥

hāridraveva patatho vanedupa somaṃ sutaṃ mahiṣevāva gacchathaḥ | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca trirvartiryātamaśvinā ||

You alight upon the effused Soma as the Hāridravā plural nges unto the water; you fall upon it like twobuffaloes (plural nging into a pool); united with the dawn and with Sūrya, come, Aśvins, by the triple path.

हंसाविव पतथो अध्वगाविव सोमं सुतं महिषेवाव गच्छथः । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च त्रिर्वर्तिर्यातमश्विना ॥

haṃsāviva patatho adhvagāviva somaṃ sutaṃ mahiṣevāva gacchathaḥ | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca trirvartiryātamaśvinā ||

As two geese, as two travellers, as two buffaloes (hasten to water), you alight, Aśvins, upon the effusedSoma; united with the dawn and with Sūrya, come, Aśvins, by the triple path.

श्येनाविव पतथो हव्यदातये सोमं सुतं महिषेवाव गच्छथः । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च त्रिर्वर्तिर्यातमश्विना ॥

śyenāviva patatho havyadātaye somaṃ sutaṃ mahiṣevāva gacchathaḥ | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca trirvartiryātamaśvinā ||

You hasten like two falcons to the offerer of the libation, you alight upon the effused Soma as twobuffaloes (hasten to water), united with the dawn and with Sūrya, come, Aśvins, by the triple path.

पिबतं च तृप्णुतं चा च गच्छतं प्रजां च धत्तं द्रविणं च धत्तम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चोर्जं नो धत्तमश्विना ॥

pibataṃ ca tṛpṇutaṃ cā ca gacchataṃ prajāṃ ca dhattaṃ draviṇaṃ ca dhattam | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa corjaṃ no dhattamaśvinā ||

Drink, Aśvins, the Soma, and satiate yourselves; come here; give us progeny; give us wealth; unitedwith the dawn and with Sūrya, give us, Aśvins, strength.

जयतं च प्र स्तुतं च प्र चावतं प्रजां च धत्तं द्रविणं च धत्तम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चोर्जं नो धत्तमश्विना ॥

jayataṃ ca pra stutaṃ ca pra cāvataṃ prajāṃ ca dhattaṃ draviṇaṃ ca dhattam | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa corjaṃ no dhattamaśvinā ||

Conquer (Aśvins), your foes; protect and praise (your worshipper), grant progeny, give wealth, andunited with the dawn and with Sūrya, give us, Aśvins, strength.

हतं च शत्रून्यततं च मित्रिणः प्रजां च धत्तं द्रविणं च धत्तम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चोर्जं नो धत्तमश्विना ॥

hataṃ ca śatrūnyatataṃ ca mitriṇaḥ prajāṃ ca dhattaṃ draviṇaṃ ca dhattam | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa corjaṃ no dhattamaśvinā ||

Destroy your foes, repair to your friends, grant progeny, give wealth, and, united with the dawn and withSūrya, give us, Aśvins, strength.

मित्रावरुणवन्ता उत धर्मवन्ता मरुत्वन्ता जरितुर्गच्छथो हवम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चादित्यैर्यातमश्विना ॥

mitrāvaruṇavantā uta dharmavantā marutvantā jariturgacchatho havam | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa cādityairyātamaśvinā ||

Associated with Mitra and Varuṇa, with Dharma, with the Maruts, repair to the invocation of the adorer;repair (to him), Aśvins, united with the dawn, with Sūrya and with the Ādityas.

अङ्गिरस्वन्ता उत विष्णुवन्ता मरुत्वन्ता जरितुर्गच्छथो हवम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चादित्यैर्यातमश्विना ॥

aṅgirasvantā uta viṣṇuvantā marutvantā jariturgacchatho havam | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa cādityairyātamaśvinā ||

Associated with the Aṅgirasas, with Viṣṇu, with the Maruts, repair to the invocation of the adorer;repair (to him), Aśvins, united with the dawn, with Sūrya, and with the Ādityas.

ऋभुमन्ता वृषणा वाजवन्ता मरुत्वन्ता जरितुर्गच्छथो हवम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चादित्यैर्यातमश्विना ॥

ṛbhumantā vṛṣaṇā vājavantā marutvantā jariturgacchatho havam | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa cādityairyātamaśvinā ||

Associated with the Ṛbhus, and with the maruts, repair, showerers (of benefits), dispensers of food, tothe invocation of the adorer; repair (to him), Aśvins, united with the dawn, with Sūrya, and with the Ādityas.

ब्रह्म जिन्वतमुत जिन्वतं धियो हतं रक्षांसि सेधतममीवाः । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च सोमं सुन्वतो अश्विना ॥

brahma jinvatamuta jinvataṃ dhiyo hataṃ rakṣāṃsi sedhatamamīvāḥ | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca somaṃ sunvato aśvinā ||

Be propitious to prayer, be propitious to sacred rites, slay the rākṣasas, remedy diseases united withthe dawn and with Sūrya, (drink), Aśvins, the Soma of the offerer.

क्षत्रं जिन्वतमुत जिन्वतं नॄन्हतं रक्षांसि सेधतममीवाः । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च सोमं सुन्वतो अश्विना ॥

kṣatraṃ jinvatamuta jinvataṃ nṝnhataṃ rakṣāṃsi sedhatamamīvāḥ | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca somaṃ sunvato aśvinā ||

Be propitious to the strong, be propitious to men, slay the rākṣasas, remedy diseases, united with thedawn and with Sūrya, (drink), Aśvins, the Soma of the offerer.

धेनूर्जिन्वतमुत जिन्वतं विशो हतं रक्षांसि सेधतममीवाः । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च सोमं सुन्वतो अश्विना ॥

dhenūrjinvatamuta jinvataṃ viśo hataṃ rakṣāṃsi sedhatamamīvāḥ | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa ca somaṃ sunvato aśvinā ||

Be propitious to the kine, be propitious to the people, slay the rākṣasas, remedy diseases, united withthe dawn and with Sūrya, (drink), Aśvins, the Soma of the offerer.

अत्रेरिव शृणुतं पूर्व्यस्तुतिं श्यावाश्वस्य सुन्वतो मदच्युता । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चाश्विना तिरोअह्न्यम् ॥

atreriva śṛṇutaṃ pūrvyastutiṃ śyāvāśvasya sunvato madacyutā | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa cāśvinā tiroahnyam ||

Humblers of the pride (of your enemies), hear the earnest praise of Śyāvāśva offering libations as(you did) that of Atri, and, united with the dawn and with Sūrya, (drink), Aśvins, (the Soma) prepared theprevious day.

सर्गाँ इव सृजतं सुष्टुतीरुप श्यावाश्वस्य सुन्वतो मदच्युता । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चाश्विना तिरोअह्न्यम् ॥

sargā~ iva sṛjataṃ suṣṭutīrupa śyāvāśvasya sunvato madacyutā | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa cāśvinā tiroahnyam ||

Humblers of the pride (of your enemies), accept the earnest praises of Śyāvāśva offering youlibations as if you were accepting oblations; and, united with the dawn and with Sūrya, (drink), Aśvins, (theSoma) prepared the previous day.

रश्मीँरिव यच्छतमध्वराँ उप श्यावाश्वस्य सुन्वतो मदच्युता । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चाश्विना तिरोअह्न्यम् ॥

raśmī~riva yacchatamadhvarā~ upa śyāvāśvasya sunvato madacyutā | sajoṣasā uṣasā sūryeṇa cāśvinā tiroahnyam ||

Humblers of the pride (of your enemies), seize the sacrifices of Śyāvāśva offering libations as youseize your reins; and united with the dawn and with Sūrya, (drink), Aśvins,(the Soma) prepared the previousday.

अर्वाग्रथं नि यच्छतं पिबतं सोम्यं मधु । आ यातमश्विना गतमवस्युर्वामहं हुवे धत्तं रत्नानि दाशुषे ॥

arvāgrathaṃ ni yacchataṃ pibataṃ somyaṃ madhu | ā yātamaśvinā gatamavasyurvāmahaṃ huve dhattaṃ ratnāni dāśuṣe ||

Direct your chariot downwards, drink the Soma nectar; come, Aśvins, come (here); desirous of yourprotection, I invoke you; give precious riches to the donor of the offering.

नमोवाके प्रस्थिते अध्वरे नरा विवक्षणस्य पीतये । आ यातमश्विना गतमवस्युर्वामहं हुवे धत्तं रत्नानि दाशुषे ॥

namovāke prasthite adhvare narā vivakṣaṇasya pītaye | ā yātamaśvinā gatamavasyurvāmahaṃ huve dhattaṃ ratnāni dāśuṣe ||

Come, leaders of rites, when the sacrifice, at which your adoration is cited, is commenced, to drink ofthe Soma offered by me; come, Aśvins, come (here), desirous of protection, I invoke you; give precious riches tothe donor of the offering.

स्वाहाकृतस्य तृम्पतं सुतस्य देवावन्धसः । आ यातमश्विना गतमवस्युर्वामहं हुवे धत्तं रत्नानि दाशुषे ॥

svāhākṛtasya tṛmpataṃ sutasya devāvandhasaḥ | ā yātamaśvinā gatamavasyurvāmahaṃ huve dhattaṃ ratnāni dāśuṣe ||

Divine (Aśvins), partake to satiety of the sacrificial Soma, consecrated with the exclamation svāhā;come, Aśvins, come (here); desirous of protection, I invoke you; give precious riches to the donor of the offering.
