ऋग्वेद 7.47 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

आपो यं वः प्रथमं देवयन्त इन्द्रपानमूर्मिमकृण्वतेऴः । तं वो वयं शुचिमरिप्रमद्य घृतप्रुषं मधुमन्तं वनेम ॥

āpo yaṃ vaḥ prathamaṃ devayanta indrapānamūrmimakṛṇvateḻaḥ | taṃ vo vayaṃ śucimaripramadya ghṛtapruṣaṃ madhumantaṃ vanema ||

We solicit from you, Waters, today, that pure, faultless, rain- shedding, sweet essence of the earth,which devout have first consecrated as the Soma for Indra.

तमूर्मिमापो मधुमत्तमं वोऽपां नपादवत्वाशुहेमा । यस्मिन्निन्द्रो वसुभिर्मादयाते तमश्याम देवयन्तो वो अद्य ॥

tamūrmimāpo madhumattamaṃ vo'pāṃ napādavatvāśuhemā | yasminnindro vasubhirmādayāte tamaśyāma devayanto vo adya ||

May the swift-moving grandson of the Waters protect, Waters, your most sweet essence, wherewiḥ mayIndra and the Vasus be delighted; and may we, devoted to the gods, partake (of it).

शतपवित्राः स्वधया मदन्तीर्देवीर्देवानामपि यन्ति पाथः । ता इन्द्रस्य न मिनन्ति व्रतानि सिन्धुभ्यो हव्यं घृतवज्जुहोत ॥

śatapavitrāḥ svadhayā madantīrdevīrdevānāmapi yanti pāthaḥ | tā indrasya na minanti vratāni sindhubhyo havyaṃ ghṛtavajjuhota ||

The divine Waters, the purifiers of many, gratifying men with food, pursue the paths of the gods; theyimpede not the sacred rites of Indra; offer, (priests), the butter-charged oblation to the rivers.

याः सूर्यो रश्मिभिराततान याभ्य इन्द्रो अरदद्गातुमूर्मिम् । ते सिन्धवो वरिवो धातना नो यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥

yāḥ sūryo raśmibhirātatāna yābhya indro aradadgātumūrmim | te sindhavo varivo dhātanā no yūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ ||

Waters, whom the sun has evaporized by his rays, for whom Indra has opened a path by which toissue, bestow upon us wealth; and do you (also) ever cherish us with blessings.
