ऋग्वेद 5.69 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

त्री रोचना वरुण त्रीँरुत द्यून्त्रीणि मित्र धारयथो रजांसि । वावृधानावमतिं क्षत्रियस्यानु व्रतं रक्षमाणावजुर्यम् ॥

trī rocanā varuṇa trī~ruta dyūntrīṇi mitra dhārayatho rajāṃsi | vāvṛdhānāvamatiṃ kṣatriyasyānu vrataṃ rakṣamāṇāvajuryam ||

Mitra and Varuṇa, you uphold the three realms of light, the three heavens, the three regions (of the earth), augmenting the force of the vigorous (indra) and protecting the imperishable rite.

इरावतीर्वरुण धेनवो वां मधुमद्वां सिन्धवो मित्र दुह्रे । त्रयस्तस्थुर्वृषभासस्तिसृणां धिषणानां रेतोधा वि द्युमन्तः ॥

irāvatīrvaruṇa dhenavo vāṃ madhumadvāṃ sindhavo mitra duhre | trayastasthurvṛṣabhāsastisṛṇāṃ dhiṣaṇānāṃ retodhā vi dyumantaḥ ||

Mitra and Varuṇa, the cows are full o fmilk through your (command), and the rivers yield through your (will) sweet water; through you the three radiant receptacles and showerers of rain stand severally in their three spheres.

प्रातर्देवीमदितिं जोहवीमि मध्यंदिन उदिता सूर्यस्य । राये मित्रावरुणा सर्वतातेऴे तोकाय तनयाय शं योः ॥

prātardevīmaditiṃ johavīmi madhyaṃdina uditā sūryasya | rāye mitrāvaruṇā sarvatāteḻe tokāya tanayāya śaṃ yoḥ ||

I invoke the divine and bright Aditi at dawn, and at mid-day, when the sun is high; I worship you, Mitra and Varuṇa, at all seasons, for the sake of riches, for sons and grandsons, for prosperity and happiness.

या धर्तारा रजसो रोचनस्योतादित्या दिव्या पार्थिवस्य । न वां देवा अमृता आ मिनन्ति व्रतानि मित्रावरुणा ध्रुवाणि ॥

yā dhartārā rajaso rocanasyotādityā divyā pārthivasya | na vāṃ devā amṛtā ā minanti vratāni mitrāvaruṇā dhruvāṇi ||

I worship you two, divine Ādityas, who are upholders of the celestial and terrestrial worlds; the immortal gods impair not, Mitra and Varuṇa, your eternal works.
