ऋग्वेद 5.49 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

देवं वो अद्य सवितारमेषे भगं च रत्नं विभजन्तमायोः । आ वां नरा पुरुभुजा ववृत्यां दिवेदिवे चिदश्विना सखीयन् ॥

devaṃ vo adya savitārameṣe bhagaṃ ca ratnaṃ vibhajantamāyoḥ | ā vāṃ narā purubhujā vavṛtyāṃ divedive cidaśvinā sakhīyan ||

For you, (worshippers), I approach today the divine Savitā and Bhaga, the distributors of precious (wealth) among men; Aśvins, (leaders of rites), enjoyers of many (good things), desiring your friendship, I solicit your daily presence.

प्रति प्रयाणमसुरस्य विद्वान्त्सूक्तैर्देवं सवितारं दुवस्य । उप ब्रुवीत नमसा विजानञ्ज्येष्ठं च रत्नं विभजन्तमायोः ॥

prati prayāṇamasurasya vidvāntsūktairdevaṃ savitāraṃ duvasya | upa bruvīta namasā vijānañjyeṣṭhaṃ ca ratnaṃ vibhajantamāyoḥ ||

Knowing the approach of the expeller (of the foes of the gods from heaven), worship the divine Savitā with holy hymns; praise him with reverence, distinguishing him as distributing precious (treasures) among men.

अदत्रया दयते वार्याणि पूषा भगो अदितिर्वस्त उस्रः । इन्द्रो विष्णुर्वरुणो मित्रो अग्निरहानि भद्रा जनयन्त दस्माः ॥

adatrayā dayate vāryāṇi pūṣā bhago aditirvasta usraḥ | indro viṣṇurvaruṇo mitro agnirahāni bhadrā janayanta dasmāḥ ||

Pūṣan, Bhaga, Aditi bestow (severally) excellent viands; the fierce (sun) robes (himself with radiance); the good-looking (deities), Indra, Viṣṇu, Varuṇa, Mitra, Agni, give birth to happy days.

तन्नो अनर्वा सविता वरूथं तत्सिन्धव इषयन्तो अनु ग्मन् । उप यद्वोचे अध्वरस्य होता रायः स्याम पतयो वाजरत्नाः ॥

tanno anarvā savitā varūthaṃ tatsindhava iṣayanto anu gman | upa yadvoce adhvarasya hotā rāyaḥ syāma patayo vājaratnāḥ ||

May the irreproachable Savitā (grant) us that desirable (wealth); may the flowing rivers hasten to (convey) it to us; for which purpose I, the ministering priest of the sacrifice, repeat (pious praises); affluent in food, may we be the lords of (manifold) riches.

प्र ये वसुभ्य ईवदा नमो दुर्ये मित्रे वरुणे सूक्तवाचः । अवैत्वभ्वं कृणुता वरीयो दिवस्पृथिव्योरवसा मदेम ॥

pra ye vasubhya īvadā namo durye mitre varuṇe sūktavācaḥ | avaitvabhvaṃ kṛṇutā varīyo divaspṛthivyoravasā madema ||

May ample wealth devolve upon those who have presented victims to the Vasus, and upon those who have repeated praises to Mitra and Varuṇa confer upon them, (gods), felicity, and may we rejoice in the protection of heaven and earth.
