ऋग्वेद 5.21 (श्लोक 2) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

मनुष्वत्त्वा नि धीमहि मनुष्वत्समिधीमहि । अग्ने मनुष्वदङ्गिरो देवान्देवयते यज ॥

manuṣvattvā ni dhīmahi manuṣvatsamidhīmahi | agne manuṣvadaṅgiro devāndevayate yaja ||

Like Manu, we meditate, Agni, upon you; like Manu, we kindle you; worship the gods on behalf of the (worshipper), devout as Manu.

त्वं हि मानुषे जनेऽग्ने सुप्रीत इध्यसे । स्रुचस्त्वा यन्त्यानुषक्सुजात सर्पिरासुते ॥

tvaṃ hi mānuṣe jane'gne suprīta idhyase | srucastvā yantyānuṣaksujāta sarpirāsute ||

When you are plural ased, Agni, you shine upon the human race; well-born, feeder upon clarified butter, the ladles are constantly uplifted to you.

त्वां विश्वे सजोषसो देवासो दूतमक्रत । सपर्यन्तस्त्वा कवे यज्ञेषु देवमीऴते ॥

tvāṃ viśve sajoṣaso devāso dūtamakrata | saparyantastvā kave yajñeṣu devamīḻate ||

All the consentient divinities have made you their messenger; therefore the pious worship you who are divine, wise Agni, at sacrifice.

देवं वो देवयज्ययाग्निमीऴीत मर्त्यः । समिद्धः शुक्र दीदिह्यृतस्य योनिमासदः ससस्य योनिमासदः ॥

devaṃ vo devayajyayāgnimīḻīta martyaḥ | samiddhaḥ śukra dīdihyṛtasya yonimāsadaḥ sasasya yonimāsadaḥ ||

Man praises you, divine Agni, to convey his offerings to the gods; bright Agni, blaze when kindled; take your seat in the chamber (of sacrifice), in the chamber of the sincere Sasa.
