ऋग्वेद 5.19 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अभ्यवस्थाः प्र जायन्ते प्र वव्रेर्वव्रिश्चिकेत । उपस्थे मातुर्वि चष्टे ॥

abhyavasthāḥ pra jāyante pra vavrervavriściketa | upasthe māturvi caṣṭe ||

Unprosperous circumstances affect Vavri; may the accepter (of oblations) become cognizant (of them), as, reclining on the lap of his mother, he beholds all things.

जुहुरे वि चितयन्तोऽनिमिषं नृम्णं पान्ति । आ दृऴ्हां पुरं विविशुः ॥

juhure vi citayanto'nimiṣaṃ nṛmṇaṃ pānti | ā dṛḻhāṃ puraṃ viviśuḥ ||

They who know (your power) invoke you incessantly and nourish (your) strength (by oblations); they dwell in an impregnable city.

आ श्वैत्रेयस्य जन्तवो द्युमद्वर्धन्त कृष्टयः । निष्कग्रीवो बृहदुक्थ एना मध्वा न वाजयुः ॥

ā śvaitreyasya jantavo dyumadvardhanta kṛṣṭayaḥ | niṣkagrīvo bṛhaduktha enā madhvā na vājayuḥ ||

Living men, with collars of gold, earnest in praise, desirous of food, augment by this laudation the vigour of you abiding in the white firmament.

प्रियं दुग्धं न काम्यमजामि जाम्योः सचा । घर्मो न वाजजठरोऽदब्धः शश्वतो दभः ॥

priyaṃ dugdhaṃ na kāmyamajāmi jāmyoḥ sacā | gharmo na vājajaṭharo'dabdhaḥ śaśvato dabhaḥ ||

May (Agni) with his two relatives, (heaven and earth), hear this faultless (praise), acceptable as milk; he who, like the mixed oblation, is filled with food, and unsubsdued, is ever the subduer of his foes.

क्रीऴन्नो रश्म आ भुवः सं भस्मना वायुना वेविदानः । ता अस्य सन्धृषजो न तिग्माः सुसंशिता वक्ष्यो वक्षणेस्थाः ॥

krīḻanno raśma ā bhuvaḥ saṃ bhasmanā vāyunā vevidānaḥ | tā asya sandhṛṣajo na tigmāḥ susaṃśitā vakṣyo vakṣaṇesthāḥ ||

Radiant (Agni), who are made manifest by the wind and are sporting amidst the ashes (of the forest), be present with us; and may the fierce fiery flames, destructive of foes, be genitive le to this your worshipper.
