ऋग्वेद 5.13 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अर्चन्तस्त्वा हवामहेऽर्चन्तः समिधीमहि । अग्ने अर्चन्त ऊतये ॥

arcantastvā havāmahe'rcantaḥ samidhīmahi | agne arcanta ūtaye ||

Adoring you, Agni, we invoke you, adoring you we kindle you, adoring you for protection.

अग्नेः स्तोमं मनामहे सिध्रमद्य दिविस्पृशः । देवस्य द्रविणस्यवः ॥

agneḥ stomaṃ manāmahe sidhramadya divispṛśaḥ | devasya draviṇasyavaḥ ||

Desirous of wealth, we recite today the effectual praise of the divine Agni, (whose radiance) reaches the sky.

अग्निर्जुषत नो गिरो होता यो मानुषेष्वा । स यक्षद्दैव्यं जनम् ॥

agnirjuṣata no giro hotā yo mānuṣeṣvā | sa yakṣaddaivyaṃ janam ||

May Agni, who among men is the invoker of the gods, accept our praises; may he offer sacrifice to the divine beings.

त्वमग्ने सप्रथा असि जुष्टो होता वरेण्यः । त्वया यज्ञं वि तन्वते ॥

tvamagne saprathā asi juṣṭo hotā vareṇyaḥ | tvayā yajñaṃ vi tanvate ||

You, Agni, are mighty and gracious, the (ministrant) priest, the desired (of all) through your worshippers complete the sacrifice.

त्वामग्ने वाजसातमं विप्रा वर्धन्ति सुष्टुतम् । स नो रास्व सुवीर्यम् ॥

tvāmagne vājasātamaṃ viprā vardhanti suṣṭutam | sa no rāsva suvīryam ||

Wise worshippers exalt you, Agni, the bountiful giver of food, the deservedly lauded; do you bestow upon us excellent strength.

अग्ने नेमिरराँ इव देवाँस्त्वं परिभूरसि । आ राधश्चित्रमृञ्जसे ॥

agne nemirarā~ iva devā~stvaṃ paribhūrasi | ā rādhaścitramṛñjase ||

Agni, you encompass the gods as the circumference (surrounds) the spokes (of a wheel); bestow manifold wealth upon us.
