ऋग्वेद 3.28 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अग्ने जुषस्व नो हविः पुरोऴाशं जातवेदः । प्रातःसावे धियावसो ॥

agne juṣasva no haviḥ puroḻāśaṃ jātavedaḥ | prātaḥsāve dhiyāvaso ||

Agni, by whom all is known, who rewards pious acts with wealth, accept our cakes offered with butter at the morning worships.

पुरोऴा अग्ने पचतस्तुभ्यं वा घा परिष्कृतः । तं जुषस्व यविष्ठ्य ॥

puroḻā agne pacatastubhyaṃ vā ghā pariṣkṛtaḥ | taṃ juṣasva yaviṣṭhya ||

The cakes and butter are dressed, Agni, and verily prepared for you; accept them youngest (of the gods).

अग्ने वीहि पुरोऴाशमाहुतं तिरोअह्न्यम् । सहसः सूनुरस्यध्वरे हितः ॥

agne vīhi puroḻāśamāhutaṃ tiroahnyam | sahasaḥ sūnurasyadhvare hitaḥ ||

Eat, Agni, the cakes and butter offered as the day disappears; you, son of strength, are stationed (by us) at the sacrifice.

माध्यंदिने सवने जातवेदः पुरोऴाशमिह कवे जुषस्व । अग्ने यह्वस्य तव भागधेयं न प्र मिनन्ति विदथेषु धीराः ॥

mādhyaṃdine savane jātavedaḥ puroḻāśamiha kave juṣasva | agne yahvasya tava bhāgadheyaṃ na pra minanti vidatheṣu dhīrāḥ ||

Wise Jātavedas accept the cakes and butter offered in this sacrifice at the mid-day rite; prudent (worshippers), withhold not at solemn ceremonies the portion of you who are mighty.

अग्ने तृतीये सवने हि कानिषः पुरोऴाशं सहसः सूनवाहुतम् । अथा देवेष्वध्वरं विपन्यया धा रत्नवन्तममृतेषु जागृविम् ॥

agne tṛtīye savane hi kāniṣaḥ puroḻāśaṃ sahasaḥ sūnavāhutam | athā deveṣvadhvaraṃ vipanyayā dhā ratnavantamamṛteṣu jāgṛvim ||

Be plural ased, Agni, son of strength, with the cakes and butter offered at the third (daily sacrifice), and do you (propitiated) by praise convey the precious imperishable and awakening (oblation) to the immortal gods.

अग्ने वृधान आहुतिं पुरोऴाशं जातवेदः । जुषस्व तिरोअह्न्यम् ॥

agne vṛdhāna āhutiṃ puroḻāśaṃ jātavedaḥ | juṣasva tiroahnyam ||

Agni who is Jātavedas and is thriving upon oblations accept the cakes the butter as the day disappears.
