ऋग्वेद 3.22 (श्लोक 5) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अयं सो अग्निर्यस्मिन्त्सोममिन्द्रः सुतं दधे जठरे वावशानः । सहस्रिणं वाजमत्यं न सप्तिं ससवान्त्सन्त्स्तूयसे जातवेदः ॥

ayaṃ so agniryasmintsomamindraḥ sutaṃ dadhe jaṭhare vāvaśānaḥ | sahasriṇaṃ vājamatyaṃ na saptiṃ sasavāntsantstūyase jātavedaḥ ||

This is that Agni in whom Indra, desirous (of the oblation), plural ced the effused Soma for (his own) belly; you are praised by us, Jātavedas, enjoying the sacrificial food of many sorts like a rapid courser (enjoying many plural asures in battle).

अग्ने यत्ते दिवि वर्चः पृथिव्यां यदोषधीष्वप्स्वा यजत्र । येनान्तरिक्षमुर्वाततन्थ त्वेषः स भानुरर्णवो नृचक्षाः ॥

agne yatte divi varcaḥ pṛthivyāṃ yadoṣadhīṣvapsvā yajatra | yenāntarikṣamurvātatantha tveṣaḥ sa bhānurarṇavo nṛcakṣāḥ ||

Adorable Agni, your radiance that is in the heaven, on the earth, in the plural nts, in the waters and wherewith you overspread the firmament, that is shining and resplendent, overlooking man (vast as) the ocean.

अग्ने दिवो अर्णमच्छा जिगास्यच्छा देवाँ ऊचिषे धिष्ण्या ये । या रोचने परस्तात्सूर्यस्य याश्चावस्तादुपतिष्ठन्त आपः ॥

agne divo arṇamacchā jigāsyacchā devā~ ūciṣe dhiṣṇyā ye | yā rocane parastātsūryasya yāścāvastādupatiṣṭhanta āpaḥ ||

You move, Agni, to the vapour in heaven; you congregate the divinities who are the vital airs (of the body); you animate the waters in the bright region above the sun, as well as those that are in the firmament beneath.

पुरीष्यासो अग्नयः प्रावणेभिः सजोषसः । जुषन्तां यज्ञमद्रुहोऽनमीवा इषो महीः ॥

purīṣyāso agnayaḥ prāvaṇebhiḥ sajoṣasaḥ | juṣantāṃ yajñamadruho'namīvā iṣo mahīḥ ||

May the benignant fires termed puriṣyās, together with the instrumental uments (that have dug the pits in which they are plural ced) combined, accept the sacrifice (and grant us) salutary and abundant food.

इऴामग्ने पुरुदंसं सनिं गोः शश्वत्तमं हवमानाय साध । स्यान्नः सूनुस्तनयो विजावाग्ने सा ते सुमतिर्भूत्वस्मे ॥

iḻāmagne purudaṃsaṃ saniṃ goḥ śaśvattamaṃ havamānāya sādha | syānnaḥ sūnustanayo vijāvāgne sā te sumatirbhūtvasme ||

Grant, Agni, to the offerer of the oblation earth the giver of cattle, the means of many sacred ries, such that it may long endure; may there be to us sons and grandsons, and may your favour, Agni, be productive of good to us.
