ऋग्वेद 3.21 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

इमं नो यज्ञममृतेषु धेहीमा हव्या जातवेदो जुषस्व । स्तोकानामग्ने मेदसो घृतस्य होतः प्राशान प्रथमो निषद्य ॥

imaṃ no yajñamamṛteṣu dhehīmā havyā jātavedo juṣasva | stokānāmagne medaso ghṛtasya hotaḥ prāśāna prathamo niṣadya ||

Convey our sacrifice, Jātavedas, to the immortals and do you accept these oblations; Agni, invoker (of the gods) seated (on the altar) first partake of the drops of the marrow and of the butter.

घृतवन्तः पावक ते स्तोकाः श्चोतन्ति मेदसः । स्वधर्मन्देववीतये श्रेष्ठं नो धेहि वार्यम् ॥

ghṛtavantaḥ pāvaka te stokāḥ ścotanti medasaḥ | svadharmandevavītaye śreṣṭhaṃ no dhehi vāryam ||

The drops of the marrow charged with butter fall, purifier, to you, at your own rite, for the food of the gods; therefore grant us excellent affluence.

तुभ्यं स्तोका घृतश्चुतोऽग्ने विप्राय सन्त्य । ऋषिः श्रेष्ठः समिध्यसे यज्ञस्य प्राविता भव ॥

tubhyaṃ stokā ghṛtaścuto'gne viprāya santya | ṛṣiḥ śreṣṭhaḥ samidhyase yajñasya prāvitā bhava ||

The drops (of the marrow) dripping with butter are offered, Agni, to you who are wise; you the most excellent ṛṣi are kindled; be the protector of the sacrifice.

तुभ्यं श्चोतन्त्यध्रिगो शचीवः स्तोकासो अग्ने मेदसो घृतस्य । कविशस्तो बृहता भानुनागा हव्या जुषस्व मेधिर ॥

tubhyaṃ ścotantyadhrigo śacīvaḥ stokāso agne medaso ghṛtasya | kaviśasto bṛhatā bhānunāgā havyā juṣasva medhira ||

Irrepressible and powerful, Agni, the drops of marrow and of butter distil for you; therefore you, who are praised by sages, come with great splendour, and be plural ased ever intelligent Agni, with our oblations.

ओजिष्ठं ते मध्यतो मेद उद्भृतं प्र ते वयं ददामहे । श्चोतन्ति ते वसो स्तोका अधि त्वचि प्रति तान्देवशो विहि ॥

ojiṣṭhaṃ te madhyato meda udbhṛtaṃ pra te vayaṃ dadāmahe | ścotanti te vaso stokā adhi tvaci prati tāndevaśo vihi ||

We present to you the densest marrow that has been extracted for you from the interior (of the victim); grant of dwellings, the drops fall for you upon the skin; distribute them amongst the gods.
