ऋग्वेद 10.182 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

बृहस्पतिर्नयतु दुर्गहा तिरः पुनर्नेषदघशंसाय मन्म । क्षिपदशस्तिमप दुर्मतिं हन्नथा करद्यजमानाय शं योः ॥

bṛhaspatirnayatu durgahā tiraḥ punarneṣadaghaśaṃsāya manma | kṣipadaśastimapa durmatiṃ hannathā karadyajamānāya śaṃ yoḥ ||

Let Bṛhaspati, the overcomer of difficulties, put aside (all sins), let him thrust aside the weapon of thecalumniator; may he hurl down the inglorious (enemy), may he baffle the malevolent, and bestow upon thesacrificer health and prosperity.

नराशंसो नोऽवतु प्रयाजे शं नो अस्त्वनुयाजो हवेषु । क्षिपदशस्तिमप दुर्मतिं हन्नथा करद्यजमानाय शं योः ॥

narāśaṃso no'vatu prayāje śaṃ no astvanuyājo haveṣu | kṣipadaśastimapa durmatiṃ hannathā karadyajamānāya śaṃ yoḥ ||

May Narāśaṃsa protect us at the Prayāja rite; may he be (the giver of) felicity to us as theAnuyāja (divinity) at oblations; may Bṛhaspati hurl down the inglorious (enemy), may he baffle the malevolent,and bestow upon the sacrificer health and prosperity.

तपुर्मूर्धा तपतु रक्षसो ये ब्रह्मद्विषः शरवे हन्तवा उ । क्षिपदशस्तिमप दुर्मतिं हन्नथा करद्यजमानाय शं योः ॥

tapurmūrdhā tapatu rakṣaso ye brahmadviṣaḥ śarave hantavā u | kṣipadaśastimapa durmatiṃ hannathā karadyajamānāya śaṃ yoḥ ||

May Tapurmūrdhā consume the rākṣasas, who are the enemies of the Brāhmaṇas, (and thenproceed) to slay (their) malignant (chief); may Bṛhaspati hurl down the inglorious (enemy), may he baffle themalevolent, and bestow upon the sacrificer health and prosperity.
