ऋग्वेद 10.183 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अपश्यं त्वा मनसा चेकितानं तपसो जातं तपसो विभूतम् । इह प्रजामिह रयिं रराणः प्र जायस्व प्रजया पुत्रकाम ॥

apaśyaṃ tvā manasā cekitānaṃ tapaso jātaṃ tapaso vibhūtam | iha prajāmiha rayiṃ rarāṇaḥ pra jāyasva prajayā putrakāma ||

(The wife speaks). I beheld you in my mind conversant (with sacred rites), born of penance, renownedfor penance; enjoying in this world progeny and riches, do you who are desirous of offspring beget offspring.

अपश्यं त्वा मनसा दीध्यानां स्वायां तनू ऋत्व्ये नाधमानाम् । उप मामुच्चा युवतिर्बभूयाः प्र जायस्व प्रजया पुत्रकामे ॥

apaśyaṃ tvā manasā dīdhyānāṃ svāyāṃ tanū ṛtvye nādhamānām | upa māmuccā yuvatirbabhūyāḥ pra jāyasva prajayā putrakāme ||

(The Yajamāna speaks). I behold you in my mind radiant (with beauty), beseeching (your husband'sapproach) to your body at due season; may you, who are youthful, come up to me; bear offspring, you who aredesirous of offspring.

अहं गर्भमदधामोषधीष्वहं विश्वेषु भुवनेष्वन्तः । अहं प्रजा अजनयं पृथिव्यामहं जनिभ्यो अपरीषु पुत्रान् ॥

ahaṃ garbhamadadhāmoṣadhīṣvahaṃ viśveṣu bhuvaneṣvantaḥ | ahaṃ prajā ajanayaṃ pṛthivyāmahaṃ janibhyo aparīṣu putrān ||

(The hotā speaks). I implant the seed in vegetables, the germ in all living beings; I engender progenyupon the earth; I beget children on other women.
