ऋग्वेद 10.169 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

मयोभूर्वातो अभि वातूस्रा ऊर्जस्वतीरोषधीरा रिशन्ताम् । पीवस्वतीर्जीवधन्याः पिबन्त्ववसाय पद्वते रुद्र मृऴ ॥

mayobhūrvāto abhi vātūsrā ūrjasvatīroṣadhīrā riśantām | pīvasvatīrjīvadhanyāḥ pibantvavasāya padvate rudra mṛḻa ||

Details:

याः सरूपा विरूपा एकरूपा यासामग्निरिष्ट्या नामानि वेद । या अङ्गिरसस्तपसेह चक्रुस्ताभ्यः पर्जन्य महि शर्म यच्छ ॥

yāḥ sarūpā virūpā ekarūpā yāsāmagniriṣṭyā nāmāni veda | yā aṅgirasastapaseha cakrustābhyaḥ parjanya mahi śarma yaccha ||

Grant great felicity, Parjanya, to those cows who are of similar forms, of different forms, or of singleforms, whose names Agni knows through the sacrifice, or those whom the Aṅgirasas created in this world bypenance.

या देवेषु तन्वमैरयन्त यासां सोमो विश्वा रूपाणि वेद । ता अस्मभ्यं पयसा पिन्वमानाः प्रजावतीरिन्द्र गोष्ठे रिरीहि ॥

yā deveṣu tanvamairayanta yāsāṃ somo viśvā rūpāṇi veda | tā asmabhyaṃ payasā pinvamānāḥ prajāvatīrindra goṣṭhe rirīhi ||

Bring, Indra, to the cow-house (the cows) who offer their bodies to the gods, those of whom Somaknows all the properties, those that nourish us with their milk, and those that have calves.

प्रजापतिर्मह्यमेता रराणो विश्वैर्देवैः पितृभिः संविदानः । शिवाः सतीरुप नो गोष्ठमाकस्तासां वयं प्रजया सं सदेम ॥

prajāpatirmahyametā rarāṇo viśvairdevaiḥ pitṛbhiḥ saṃvidānaḥ | śivāḥ satīrupa no goṣṭhamākastāsāṃ vayaṃ prajayā saṃ sadema ||

May Prajāpati bestowing these (Cows) upon me concurring with the universal gods and the Pitara,bring the auspicious cattle to our cow-pen, may we be in possession of their progeny.
