अग्ने तव श्रवो वयो महि भ्राजन्ते अर्चयो विभावसो । बृहद्भानो शवसा वाजमुक्थ्यं दधासि दाशुषे कवे ॥

agne tava śravo vayo mahi bhrājante arcayo vibhāvaso | bṛhadbhāno śavasā vājamukthyaṃ dadhāsi dāśuṣe kave ||

Your, Agni, is the most excellent sacrificial food; your flames, O opulent in radiance, blaze fiercely;wise and widely luminous (Agni), you bestow upon the donor (of the oblation) the choicest food with strength.

पावकवर्चाः शुक्रवर्चा अनूनवर्चा उदियर्षि भानुना । पुत्रो मातरा विचरन्नुपावसि पृणक्षि रोदसी उभे ॥

pāvakavarcāḥ śukravarcā anūnavarcā udiyarṣi bhānunā | putro mātarā vicarannupāvasi pṛṇakṣi rodasī ubhe ||

Agni, who are of purifying radiance, of unsullied lustre, of full brightness, you issue forth withsplendour; visiting your parents (like) a son, you protect (the worshippers), you unite both heaven and earth.

ऊर्जो नपाज्जातवेदः सुशस्तिभिर्मन्दस्व धीतिभिर्हितः । त्वे इषः सं दधुर्भूरिवर्पसश्चित्रोतयो वामजाताः ॥

ūrjo napājjātavedaḥ suśastibhirmandasva dhītibhirhitaḥ | tve iṣaḥ saṃ dadhurbhūrivarpasaścitrotayo vāmajātāḥ ||

Son of strength, Jātavedas, rejoice in our adorations, (be) satisfied by our offerings, (theworshippers) have plural ced before you viands of many sorts of wonderful efficacy, of excellent origin. {Son ofstrength: ūrjo napāt = grandson of waters; or, non-injurer; or, food].

इरज्यन्नग्ने प्रथयस्व जन्तुभिरस्मे रायो अमर्त्य । स दर्शतस्य वपुषो वि राजसि पृणक्षि सानसिं क्रतुम् ॥

irajyannagne prathayasva jantubhirasme rāyo amartya | sa darśatasya vapuṣo vi rājasi pṛṇakṣi sānasiṃ kratum ||

Contending with enemies, bestow upon us, immortal Agni, riches; you shine with a graceful person n,you fulfil (the purpose of) the enjoyable rite.

इष्कर्तारमध्वरस्य प्रचेतसं क्षयन्तं राधसो महः । रातिं वामस्य सुभगां महीमिषं दधासि सानसिं रयिम् ॥

iṣkartāramadhvarasya pracetasaṃ kṣayantaṃ rādhaso mahaḥ | rātiṃ vāmasya subhagāṃ mahīmiṣaṃ dadhāsi sānasiṃ rayim ||

(We praise you), the perfecter of the sacrifice, the sage, the lord of great wealth, the giver of what isdesirable; you bestow auspicious and abundant food, and enjoyable riches.

ऋतावानं महिषं विश्वदर्शतमग्निं सुम्नाय दधिरे पुरो जनाः । श्रुत्कर्णं सप्रथस्तमं त्वा गिरा दैव्यं मानुषा युगा ॥

ṛtāvānaṃ mahiṣaṃ viśvadarśatamagniṃ sumnāya dadhire puro janāḥ | śrutkarṇaṃ saprathastamaṃ tvā girā daivyaṃ mānuṣā yugā ||

Men for the sake of happiness plural ce before them Agni, the speaker of truth, the mighty, thecontemplator of all; the posterity of Manu in pairs (propitiate) with praises you, whose ears are open (to praises)who are most renowned, and the (minister) of the gods.
