इन्द्र दृह्य मघवन्त्वावदिद्भुज इह स्तुतः सुतपा बोधि नो वृधे । देवेभिर्नः सविता प्रावतु श्रुतमा सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

indra dṛhya maghavantvāvadidbhuja iha stutaḥ sutapā bodhi no vṛdhe | devebhirnaḥ savitā prāvatu śrutamā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

Consume, afluent Indra, (the foe that is) like you (in might); praised on this occasion, do you who arethe drinker of the libation be favourable to our advancement. May Savitā, with the gods, defend our sacrifice;we long for the universal Aditi.

भराय सु भरत भागमृत्वियं प्र वायवे शुचिपे क्रन्ददिष्टये । गौरस्य यः पयसः पीतिमानश आ सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

bharāya su bharata bhāgamṛtviyaṃ pra vāyave śucipe krandadiṣṭaye | gaurasya yaḥ payasaḥ pītimānaśa ā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

Offer to (Indra) the cherisher (of all) the share suited to the season; (offer it) to Vāyu, the drinker ofthe pure (Soma), who clamours as he travels, who obtains a draught of white milk; we long for the universal Aditi.

आ नो देवः सविता साविषद्वय ऋजूयते यजमानाय सुन्वते । यथा देवान्प्रतिभूषेम पाकवदा सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

ā no devaḥ savitā sāviṣadvaya ṛjūyate yajamānāya sunvate | yathā devānpratibhūṣema pākavadā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

May the divine Savitā genitive rate well-dressed food for our sincere yajamāna as he offers the libation,so that we may be in good favour with the gods; we long for the universal Aditi.

इन्द्रो अस्मे सुमना अस्तु विश्वहा राजा सोमः सुवितस्याध्येतु नः । यथायथा मित्रधितानि संदधुरा सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

indro asme sumanā astu viśvahā rājā somaḥ suvitasyādhyetu naḥ | yathāyathā mitradhitāni saṃdadhurā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

May Indra be favourably disposed towards us every day, may the royal Soma accept our praise, sothat they may bestow upon us friendly treasures; we long for the universal Aditi.

इन्द्र उक्थेन शवसा परुर्दधे बृहस्पते प्रतरीतास्यायुषः । यज्ञो मनुः प्रमतिर्नः पिता हि कमा सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

indra ukthena śavasā parurdadhe bṛhaspate pratarītāsyāyuṣaḥ | yajño manuḥ pramatirnaḥ pitā hi kamā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

By his laudable strength Indra supports my limb; you, Bṛhaspati, are the prolonger of my life. May thesacrifice, the sage Manu, (being) our protector, (grant) us happiness. We long for the universal Aditi.

इन्द्रस्य नु सुकृतं दैव्यं सहोऽग्निर्गृहे जरिता मेधिरः कविः । यज्ञश्च भूद्विदथे चारुरन्तम आ सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

indrasya nu sukṛtaṃ daivyaṃ saho'gnirgṛhe jaritā medhiraḥ kaviḥ | yajñaśca bhūdvidathe cārurantama ā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

The divine force of Indra is well constructed; Agni (abides) in our dwelling, the praiser of the gods, thereceiver of oblations, the sage, and is worthy of sacrifice at the altar, beautiful and most near (to us). We long forthe universal Aditi.

न वो गुहा चकृम भूरि दुष्कृतं नाविष्ट्यं वसवो देवहेऴनम् । माकिर्नो देवा अनृतस्य वर्पस आ सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

na vo guhā cakṛma bhūri duṣkṛtaṃ nāviṣṭyaṃ vasavo devaheḻanam | mākirno devā anṛtasya varpasa ā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

We have not done any great evil in secret from you, nor any open (action) causing the anger of thegods, O you givers of wealth; let not, O gods, (the possession) of an unreal form be our (lot). We long for theuniversal Aditi.

अपामीवां सविता साविषन्न्यग्वरीय इदप सेधन्त्वद्रयः । ग्रावा यत्र मधुषुदुच्यते बृहदा सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

apāmīvāṃ savitā sāviṣannyagvarīya idapa sedhantvadrayaḥ | grāvā yatra madhuṣuducyate bṛhadā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

May Savitā drive away (our) disease, may the mountains keep off our most heinous (sin), where thestone( the effuser) of the sweet Soma is abundantly praised. We long for the universal Aditi.

ऊर्ध्वो ग्रावा वसवोऽस्तु सोतरि विश्वा द्वेषांसि सनुतर्युयोत । स नो देवः सविता पायुरीड्य आ सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

ūrdhvo grāvā vasavo'stu sotari viśvā dveṣāṃsi sanutaryuyota | sa no devaḥ savitā pāyurīḍya ā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

May the stone be uplifted, gods, when I make the libation; disperse all my secret adversaries; the godSavitā is our adorable protector. We long for the universal Aditi.

ऊर्जं गावो यवसे पीवो अत्तन ऋतस्य याः सदने कोशे अङ्ग्ध्वे । तनूरेव तन्वो अस्तु भेषजमा सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

ūrjaṃ gāvo yavase pīvo attana ṛtasya yāḥ sadane kośe aṅgdhve | tanūreva tanvo astu bheṣajamā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

Eat abundant fodder in the pasture, O cows, who are anointed in the hall of sacrifice in the cow-stall;may (your) body be the remedy for (our) body. We long for the universal Aditi.

क्रतुप्रावा जरिता शश्वतामव इन्द्र इद्भद्रा प्रमतिः सुतावताम् । पूर्णमूधर्दिव्यं यस्य सिक्तय आ सर्वतातिमदितिं वृणीमहे ॥

kratuprāvā jaritā śaśvatāmava indra idbhadrā pramatiḥ sutāvatām | pūrṇamūdhardivyaṃ yasya siktaya ā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe ||

Indra is the fulfiller of pious acts, the glorifier of all, the guardian of the offerers of libations, theauspicious forethought, for his libation the divine pitcher is filled (with Soma). We long for the universal Aditi.

चित्रस्ते भानुः क्रतुप्रा अभिष्टिः सन्ति स्पृधो जरणिप्रा अधृष्टाः । रजिष्ठया रज्या पश्व आ गोस्तूतूर्षति पर्यग्रं दुवस्युः ॥

citraste bhānuḥ kratuprā abhiṣṭiḥ santi spṛdho jaraṇiprā adhṛṣṭāḥ | rajiṣṭhayā rajyā paśva ā gostūtūrṣati paryagraṃ duvasyuḥ ||

Your splendour, Indra, is wonderful, fulfilling our pious acts, desirable; your efforts replenishing thewealth of your worshippers are irresistible; (therefore) Duvasyu hastens in front of the victim cow, (leading it) witha straight cord.
