[rv-1-29] • 7 श्लोकाः

यच्चिद्धि सत्य सोमपा अनाशस्ता इव स्मसि । आ तू न इन्द्र शंसय गोष्वश्वेषु शुभ्रिषु सहस्रेषु तुवीमघ ॥

yacciddhi satya somapā anāśastā iva smasi | ā tū na indra śaṃsaya goṣvaśveṣu śubhriṣu sahasreṣu tuvīmagha ||

Veracious drinker of the Soma juice, although we be unworthy, do your, Indra, of boundless wealth enrich us with thousands of excellent cows and horses.

शिप्रिन्वाजानां पते शचीवस्तव दंसना । आ तू न इन्द्र शंसय गोष्वश्वेषु शुभ्रिषु सहस्रेषु तुवीमघ ॥

śiprinvājānāṃ pate śacīvastava daṃsanā | ā tū na indra śaṃsaya goṣvaśveṣu śubhriṣu sahasreṣu tuvīmagha ||

Your benevolence, handsome and mighty lord of food, endures for ever; therefore, Indra, of boundless wealth, enrich us with thousands of excellent cows and horses.

नि ष्वापया मिथूदृशा सस्तामबुध्यमाने । आ तू न इन्द्र शंसय गोष्वश्वेषु शुभ्रिषु सहस्रेषु तुवीमघ ॥

ni ṣvāpayā mithūdṛśā sastāmabudhyamāne | ā tū na indra śaṃsaya goṣvaśveṣu śubhriṣu sahasreṣu tuvīmagha ||

Cast asleep (the two feminine le messengers of Yama); looking at each other, let them sleep, never waking; Indra, of boundless wealth, enrich us with thousands of excellent cows and horses.

ससन्तु त्या अरातयो बोधन्तु शूर रातयः । आ तू न इन्द्र शंसय गोष्वश्वेषु शुभ्रिषु सहस्रेषु तुवीमघ ॥

sasantu tyā arātayo bodhantu śūra rātayaḥ | ā tū na indra śaṃsaya goṣvaśveṣu śubhriṣu sahasreṣu tuvīmagha ||

May those who are our enemies, slumber, and those, O hero, who are our friends, be awake; Indra, of boundless wealth, enrich us with thousands of excellent cows and horses.

समिन्द्र गर्दभं मृण नुवन्तं पापयामुया । आ तू न इन्द्र शंसय गोष्वश्वेषु शुभ्रिषु सहस्रेषु तुवीमघ ॥

samindra gardabhaṃ mṛṇa nuvantaṃ pāpayāmuyā | ā tū na indra śaṃsaya goṣvaśveṣu śubhriṣu sahasreṣu tuvīmagha ||

Indra, destroy this ass, (our adversary), praising you with such discordant speech; and do your, Indra, of boundless wealth, enrich us with thousands of excellent cows and horses.

पताति कुण्डृणाच्या दूरं वातो वनादधि । आ तू न इन्द्र शंसय गोष्वश्वेषु शुभ्रिषु सहस्रेषु तुवीमघ ॥

patāti kuṇḍṛṇācyā dūraṃ vāto vanādadhi | ā tū na indra śaṃsaya goṣvaśveṣu śubhriṣu sahasreṣu tuvīmagha ||

Let us (adverse) breeze, with crooked course, alight afar off on the forest; Indra, of boundless wealth, enrich us with thousands of excellent cows and horses.

सर्वं परिक्रोशं जहि जम्भया कृकदाश्वम् । आ तू न इन्द्र शंसय गोष्वश्वेषु शुभ्रिषु सहस्रेषु तुवीमघ ॥

sarvaṃ parikrośaṃ jahi jambhayā kṛkadāśvam | ā tū na indra śaṃsaya goṣvaśveṣu śubhriṣu sahasreṣu tuvīmagha ||

Destroy every one that reviles us; slay every one that does us injury; Indra, of boundless wealth, enrich us with thousands of excellent cows and horses.
