His importance
. रन्तिदेव 's unique kindness is very famous in history. After the great war was over, नारद once narrated the stories of sixteen kings to धर्मपुत्र . There are a number of stories relating to रन्तिदेव 's kindness, hospitality etc. He had engaged 20,000 people to cook food for guests who came to the palace everyday. He was very vigilant about treating guests day and night alike. He gifted away all wealth which had been righteously earned, to ब्रह्मिन्स् . He learned वेदस् and subdued enemies by धर्म (righteousness). The very blood that flowed from the skin of cattle killed to entertain his guests formed itself into a river called चर्मण्वति . [mh-12-29-1 ] 21,000 cows were daily killed for the guest. [mh-7-67-1 ]

रन्तिदेव entered स्वर्ग by giving वसिष्ठ warm water. [mh-12-234-17 ] .
He once worshipped महर्षिस् with fruits and vegetables and achieved his desire. [mh-12-292-7 ] .
He never ate flesh. [mh-13-115-67 ] .
He entered heaven once by making oblations to वसिष्ठ . [mh-13-137-6 ] .
He is recognised as one of the महाराज s who are to be remembered both at dawn and at dusk. [mh-13-150-51 ] .
