ऋग्वेद 9.75 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अभि प्रियाणि पवते चनोहितो नामानि यह्वो अधि येषु वर्धते । आ सूर्यस्य बृहतो बृहन्नधि रथं विष्वञ्चमरुहद्विचक्षणः ॥

abhi priyāṇi pavate canohito nāmāni yahvo adhi yeṣu vardhate | ā sūryasya bṛhato bṛhannadhi rathaṃ viṣvañcamaruhadvicakṣaṇaḥ ||

(The Soma) fit for good flows towards the delightful waters in which the mighty (Soma) is fostered; the beholder of all, the great (Soma) mounts themighty sun's chariot which go everywhere.

ऋतस्य जिह्वा पवते मधु प्रियं वक्ता पतिर्धियो अस्या अदाभ्यः । दधाति पुत्रः पित्रोरपीच्यं नाम तृतीयमधि रोचने दिवः ॥

ṛtasya jihvā pavate madhu priyaṃ vaktā patirdhiyo asyā adābhyaḥ | dadhāti putraḥ pitrorapīcyaṃ nāma tṛtīyamadhi rocane divaḥ ||

The tongue of the sacrifice (Soma) distils the delightful exhilarating (juice), speaking, lord of this rite, unassailable; the son (the sacrificer) assumes a third name unknown to his parents in the briliance of heaven.

अव द्युतानः कलशाँ अचिक्रदन्नृभिर्येमानः कोश आ हिरण्यये । अभीमृतस्य दोहना अनूषताधि त्रिपृष्ठ उषसो वि राजति ॥

ava dyutānaḥ kalaśā~ acikradannṛbhiryemānaḥ kośa ā hiraṇyaye | abhīmṛtasya dohanā anūṣatādhi tripṛṣṭha uṣaso vi rājati ||

Shining, he cries aloud (descending) into the vessels, pressed by the priests into the golden receptacle; the milk of the sacrifice glorify him; the supporter of the three sacrifices shines (most) on the days of sacrifice.

अद्रिभिः सुतो मतिभिश्चनोहितः प्ररोचयन्रोदसी मातरा शुचिः । रोमाण्यव्या समया वि धावति मधोर्धारा पिन्वमाना दिवेदिवे ॥

adribhiḥ suto matibhiścanohitaḥ prarocayanrodasī mātarā śuciḥ | romāṇyavyā samayā vi dhāvati madhordhārā pinvamānā divedive ||

Effused by the stones and by the praises, fit for food, illuminating heaven and earth the parents (of the universe), pure, (the Soma), flows between the sheep's hairs, diluted (with the water) the stream of the exhilarating beverage (is purified) day by day.

परि सोम प्र धन्वा स्वस्तये नृभिः पुनानो अभि वासयाशिरम् । ये ते मदा आहनसो विहायसस्तेभिरिन्द्रं चोदय दातवे मघम् ॥

pari soma pra dhanvā svastaye nṛbhiḥ punāno abhi vāsayāśiram | ye te madā āhanaso vihāyasastebhirindraṃ codaya dātave magham ||

Soma, flow forth for our welfare; purified by the priests cloth yourself in the (milky) mixture; with the exhilarating loud-sounding mighty juices which you have, inspire Indra to bestow affluence upon us.
