ऋग्वेद 9.48 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

तं त्वा नृम्णानि बिभ्रतं सधस्थेषु महो दिवः । चारुं सुकृत्ययेमहे ॥

taṃ tvā nṛmṇāni bibhrataṃ sadhastheṣu maho divaḥ | cāruṃ sukṛtyayemahe ||

By sacred rites we solicit (wealth) of you, auspicious, bearing wealth, abiding in the regions of the vast heaven.

संवृक्तधृष्णुमुक्थ्यं महामहिव्रतं मदम् । शतं पुरो रुरुक्षणिम् ॥

saṃvṛktadhṛṣṇumukthyaṃ mahāmahivrataṃ madam | śataṃ puro rurukṣaṇim ||

The overthrower of the resolute (foe), the praiseworthy, to whom many solemn observances are addressed, the exhilarator, the destroyer of a hundred cities (of the asuras).

अतस्त्वा रयिमभि राजानं सुक्रतो दिवः । सुपर्णो अव्यथिर्भरत् ॥

atastvā rayimabhi rājānaṃ sukrato divaḥ | suparṇo avyathirbharat ||

O (Soma), doer of good deeds, the unwearied hawk brought you, king over riches, from this heaven.

विश्वस्मा इत्स्वर्दृशे साधारणं रजस्तुरम् । गोपामृतस्य विर्भरत् ॥

viśvasmā itsvardṛśe sādhāraṇaṃ rajasturam | gopāmṛtasya virbharat ||

The bird brought you, the showerer of water, the protector of the sacrifice, the common property of every god.

अधा हिन्वान इन्द्रियं ज्यायो महित्वमानशे । अभिष्टिकृद्विचर्षणिः ॥

adhā hinvāna indriyaṃ jyāyo mahitvamānaśe | abhiṣṭikṛdvicarṣaṇiḥ ||

The contemplator of all, the granter of desires, putting forth his energy obtains superior greatness.
