ऋग्वेद 9.112 (श्लोक 4) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

नानानं वा उ नो धियो वि व्रतानि जनानाम् । तक्षा रिष्टं रुतं भिषग्ब्रह्मा सुन्वन्तमिच्छतीन्द्रायेन्दो परि स्रव ॥

nānānaṃ vā u no dhiyo vi vratāni janānām | takṣā riṣṭaṃ rutaṃ bhiṣagbrahmā sunvantamicchatīndrāyendo pari srava ||

Various are our acts, (various) are the occupations of men; the carpenter desires timber, the physician disease, the brāhmaṇa a worshipper who effuses Soma; flow, Indu for Indra.

जरतीभिरोषधीभिः पर्णेभिः शकुनानाम् । कार्मारो अश्मभिर्द्युभिर्हिरण्यवन्तमिच्छतीन्द्रायेन्दो परि स्रव ॥

jaratībhiroṣadhībhiḥ parṇebhiḥ śakunānām | kārmāro aśmabhirdyubhirhiraṇyavantamicchatīndrāyendo pari srava ||

With dried plural nts (are arrows made), with the feathers of birds (and) with glistening stones; the smith seeks a man who has gold; flow, Indu, for Indra.

कारुरहं ततो भिषगुपलप्रक्षिणी नना । नानाधियो वसूयवोऽनु गा इव तस्थिमेन्द्रायेन्दो परि स्रव ॥

kārurahaṃ tato bhiṣagupalaprakṣiṇī nanā | nānādhiyo vasūyavo'nu gā iva tasthimendrāyendo pari srava ||

I am the singer; papa is the physician, mamma throws the corn upon the grinding stones; having various occupations, desiring riches we remain (in the world) like cattle (in the stall); flow, Indu, for Indra.

अश्वो वोऴ्हा सुखं रथं हसनामुपमन्त्रिणः । शेपो रोमण्वन्तौ भेदौ वारिन्मण्डूक इच्छतीन्द्रायेन्दो परि स्रव ॥

aśvo voḻhā sukhaṃ rathaṃ hasanāmupamantriṇaḥ | śepo romaṇvantau bhedau vārinmaṇḍūka icchatīndrāyendo pari srava ||

The draught horse (desire) a cart easy (to draw); those who invite guests (desire) merriment; the frog desires water; flow, Indu, for Indra.
