ऋग्वेद 6.56 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

य एनमादिदेशति करम्भादिति पूषणम् । न तेन देव आदिशे ॥

ya enamādideśati karambhāditi pūṣaṇam | na tena deva ādiśe ||

No (other) deity is indicated by him who declares the offering of mixed meal and butter to be intended for Pūṣan.

उत घा स रथीतमः सख्या सत्पतिर्युजा । इन्द्रो वृत्राणि जिघ्नते ॥

uta ghā sa rathītamaḥ sakhyā satpatiryujā | indro vṛtrāṇi jighnate ||

He, the chief of charioteers, the protector of the virtuous, Indra, destroys his foes, with his friend Pūṣan for his ally.

उतादः परुषे गवि सूरश्चक्रं हिरण्ययम् । न्यैरयद्रथीतमः ॥

utādaḥ paruṣe gavi sūraścakraṃ hiraṇyayam | nyairayadrathītamaḥ ||

He, the impeller, the chief of charioteers, (Pūṣan) ever urges on that golden wheel (of his car) for the radiant sun.

यदद्य त्वा पुरुष्टुत ब्रवाम दस्र मन्तुमः । तत्सु नो मन्म साधय ॥

yadadya tvā puruṣṭuta bravāma dasra mantumaḥ | tatsu no manma sādhaya ||

Since, intelligent Pūṣan, of godly aspect, the praised of many, we celebrate you today, therefore grant us the desired wealth.

इमं च नो गवेषणं सातये सीषधो गणम् । आरात्पूषन्नसि श्रुतः ॥

imaṃ ca no gaveṣaṇaṃ sātaye sīṣadho gaṇam | ārātpūṣannasi śrutaḥ ||

Gratify this our assembly, desirous of cattle, by their acquisition; you, Pūṣan, are renowned afar.

आ ते स्वस्तिमीमह आरेअघामुपावसुम् । अद्या च सर्वतातये श्वश्च सर्वतातये ॥

ā te svastimīmaha āreaghāmupāvasum | adyā ca sarvatātaye śvaśca sarvatātaye ||

We deserve of your well-being, remote from evil, approximate to wealth, both for the sake of genitive ral sacrifice today, for the sake of genitive ral sacrifice tomorrow.
