ऋग्वेद 6.42 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

प्रत्यस्मै पिपीषते विश्वानि विदुषे भर । अरंगमाय जग्मयेऽपश्चाद्दघ्वने नरे ॥

pratyasmai pipīṣate viśvāni viduṣe bhara | araṃgamāya jagmaye'paścāddaghvane nare ||

Offer, (priests), the libation to him who is desirous to drink; who knows all things; whose movements are all-sufficient; who goes readily (to sacrifices); the leader (of holy rites), following no one.

एमेनं प्रत्येतन सोमेभिः सोमपातमम् । अमत्रेभिॠजीषिणमिन्द्रं सुतेभिरिन्दुभिः ॥

emenaṃ pratyetana somebhiḥ somapātamam | amatrebhiṝjīṣiṇamindraṃ sutebhirindubhiḥ ||

Proceed to the presence of that deep quaffer of the Soma, with the Soma; to the vigorous Indra with vessels (filed) with the efused libations.

यदी सुतेभिरिन्दुभिः सोमेभिः प्रतिभूषथ । वेदा विश्वस्य मेधिरो धृषत्तंतमिदेषते ॥

yadī sutebhirindubhiḥ somebhiḥ pratibhūṣatha | vedā viśvasya medhiro dhṛṣattaṃtamideṣate ||

When, with the effused and flowing Soma, you come into his presence, the sagacious (Indra) knows your wish, and the suppresser (of enemies) assuredly grants it, whateve it may be.

अस्माअस्मा इदन्धसोऽध्वर्यो प्र भरा सुतम् । कुवित्समस्य जेन्यस्य शर्धतोऽभिशस्तेरवस्परत् ॥

asmāasmā idandhaso'dhvaryo pra bharā sutam | kuvitsamasya jenyasya śardhato'bhiśasteravasparat ||

Offer, priest, to him, and him (only) this libation of (sacrificial) food, and may he ever defend us against the malignity of every superable adversary.
