ऋग्वेद 6.39 (श्लोक 2) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

मन्द्रस्य कवेर्दिव्यस्य वह्नेर्विप्रमन्मनो वचनस्य मध्वः । अपा नस्तस्य सचनस्य देवेषो युवस्व गृणते गोअग्राः ॥

mandrasya kaverdivyasya vahnervipramanmano vacanasya madhvaḥ | apā nastasya sacanasya deveṣo yuvasva gṛṇate goagrāḥ ||

Drink, Indra, of that our sweet, exhilarating, inspiring, celestial, fruit-yielding Soma, commended by the wise, and entitled to praise and preparation; bestow upon him who glorifies you, divine (Indra), food, the chiefest of which is cattle.

अयमुशानः पर्यद्रिमुस्रा ऋतधीतिभिॠतयुग्युजानः । रुजदरुग्णं वि वलस्य सानुं पणीँर्वचोभिरभि योधदिन्द्रः ॥

ayamuśānaḥ paryadrimusrā ṛtadhītibhiṝtayugyujānaḥ | rujadarugṇaṃ vi valasya sānuṃ paṇī~rvacobhirabhi yodhadindraḥ ||

Determined (to recover) the cattle hidden in the mountain, associated with the animated by (their) veracious (praise), this (Indra) fractured the infrangible rock of Bala, and overwhelmed the Paṇis with reproaches.

अयं द्योतयदद्युतो व्यक्तून्दोषा वस्तोः शरद इन्दुरिन्द्र । इमं केतुमदधुर्नू चिदह्नां शुचिजन्मन उषसश्चकार ॥

ayaṃ dyotayadadyuto vyaktūndoṣā vastoḥ śarada indurindra | imaṃ ketumadadhurnū cidahnāṃ śucijanmana uṣasaścakāra ||

This Soma, Indra, (quaffed by you), has lighted up the unlustrous nights, and days and nights, and years; (the gods) of old have established it as the ensign of days, and it he made the dawns genitive rated in light.

अयं रोचयदरुचो रुचानोऽयं वासयद्व्यृतेन पूर्वीः । अयमीयत ऋतयुग्भिरश्वैः स्वर्विदा नाभिना चर्षणिप्राः ॥

ayaṃ rocayadaruco rucāno'yaṃ vāsayadvyṛtena pūrvīḥ | ayamīyata ṛtayugbhiraśvaiḥ svarvidā nābhinā carṣaṇiprāḥ ||

This radiant (Indra) has illumined the non-radiant (worlds); he has pervaded many dawns with true lustre the benefactor of men moves in (a chariot) drawn by horses, harnessed by praise, laden with riches.

नू गृणानो गृणते प्रत्न राजन्निषः पिन्व वसुदेयाय पूर्वीः । अप ओषधीरविषा वनानि गा अर्वतो नॄनृचसे रिरीहि ॥

nū gṛṇāno gṛṇate pratna rājanniṣaḥ pinva vasudeyāya pūrvīḥ | apa oṣadhīraviṣā vanāni gā arvato nṝnṛcase rirīhi ||

Sovereign of old, do you, when glorified, bestow upon him who praises you, and to whom affluence is due abundant food; grant to the worshipper water, plural nts, inoxious woods, cattle, horses and men.
