ऋग्वेद 3.45 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

आ मन्द्रैरिन्द्र हरिभिर्याहि मयूररोमभिः । मा त्वा के चिन्नि यमन्विं न पाशिनोऽति धन्वेव ताँ इहि ॥

ā mandrairindra haribhiryāhi mayūraromabhiḥ | mā tvā ke cinni yamanviṃ na pāśino'ti dhanveva tā~ ihi ||

Come,Indra, with your exulting peacock-haired steeds; let no person ns detain you, as (fowlers) throwing snares catch a bird;pass them by (quickly) as (travellers cross) a desert.

वृत्रखादो वलंरुजः पुरां दर्मो अपामजः । स्थाता रथस्य हर्योरभिस्वर इन्द्रो दृऴ्हा चिदारुजः ॥

vṛtrakhādo valaṃrujaḥ purāṃ darmo apāmajaḥ | sthātā rathasya haryorabhisvara indro dṛḻhā cidārujaḥ ||

The evourer of Vṛtra, the fracturer of the cloud, the sender of the waters, the demolisher of cities, Indra, the destroyer of powerful enemies, has mounted his chariot to urge his horses to our presence.

गम्भीराँ उदधीँरिव क्रतुं पुष्यसि गा इव । प्र सुगोपा यवसं धेनवो यथा ह्रदं कुल्या इवाशत ॥

gambhīrā~ udadhī~riva kratuṃ puṣyasi gā iva | pra sugopā yavasaṃ dhenavo yathā hradaṃ kulyā ivāśata ||

You cherish the celebrator of the pious rite as you fill the deep seas (with water); or as a careful herdsman (cherishes) the cows; (you imbibe the Soma) as cows (obtain) fodder, (and the Soma juices) flow into you as rivulets flow into a lake.

आ नस्तुजं रयिं भरांशं न प्रतिजानते । वृक्षं पक्वं फलमङ्कीव धूनुहीन्द्र सम्पारणं वसु ॥

ā nastujaṃ rayiṃ bharāṃśaṃ na pratijānate | vṛkṣaṃ pakvaṃ phalamaṅkīva dhūnuhīndra sampāraṇaṃ vasu ||

Grant us riches, securing (us against foes), (as a father bestows) his portion on (a son) arrived at maturity; send down upon us, Indra, wealth adequate (to our desires), as a crookbringd down the ripe fruit from a tree.

स्वयुरिन्द्र स्वराऴसि स्मद्दिष्टिः स्वयशस्तरः । स वावृधान ओजसा पुरुष्टुत भवा नः सुश्रवस्तमः ॥

svayurindra svarāḻasi smaddiṣṭiḥ svayaśastaraḥ | sa vāvṛdhāna ojasā puruṣṭuta bhavā naḥ suśravastamaḥ ||

You are possessed of opulence, Indra; you are the lord of heaven, auspicious and renowned; may you who is adored of many, increasing in vigour, be to us a most (bountiful bestower) of food.
