ऋग्वेद 3.20 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अग्निमुषसमश्विना दधिक्रां व्युष्टिषु हवते वह्निरुक्थैः । सुज्योतिषो नः शृण्वन्तु देवाः सजोषसो अध्वरं वावशानाः ॥

agnimuṣasamaśvinā dadhikrāṃ vyuṣṭiṣu havate vahnirukthaiḥ | sujyotiṣo naḥ śṛṇvantu devāḥ sajoṣaso adhvaraṃ vāvaśānāḥ ||

The bearer (of the oblation) invokes with praises at the break of day, Agni, the dawn, the Aśvins, and Dadhikra); may the resplendent divinities, desirous of our sacrifice, hear in unison (the invocation).

अग्ने त्री ते वाजिना त्री षधस्था तिस्रस्ते जिह्वा ऋतजात पूर्वीः । तिस्र उ ते तन्वो देववातास्ताभिर्नः पाहि गिरो अप्रयुच्छन् ॥

agne trī te vājinā trī ṣadhasthā tisraste jihvā ṛtajāta pūrvīḥ | tisra u te tanvo devavātāstābhirnaḥ pāhi giro aprayucchan ||

Agni, born of sacrifice, three are your viands; three your abiding plural ces, three the tongue satisfying (thegods); three verily are your forms acceptable to the deities, and with them never heedless (of our wishes), bepropitious to our praises.

अग्ने भूरीणि तव जातवेदो देव स्वधावोऽमृतस्य नाम । याश्च माया मायिनां विश्वमिन्व त्वे पूर्वीः संदधुः पृष्टबन्धो ॥

agne bhūrīṇi tava jātavedo deva svadhāvo'mṛtasya nāma | yāśca māyā māyināṃ viśvaminva tve pūrvīḥ saṃdadhuḥ pṛṣṭabandho ||

Divine Agni, knowing all that exists and distributor of food, many are the names of you who are immortal satisffier of all men, friend of the suppliant, the gods have deposited in you whatever are the delusions of the deluding (rākṣasas).

अग्निर्नेता भग इव क्षितीनां दैवीनां देव ऋतुपा ऋतावा । स वृत्रहा सनयो विश्ववेदाः पर्षद्विश्वाति दुरिता गृणन्तम् ॥

agnirnetā bhaga iva kṣitīnāṃ daivīnāṃ deva ṛtupā ṛtāvā | sa vṛtrahā sanayo viśvavedāḥ parṣadviśvāti duritā gṛṇantam ||

The divine Agni is the guide of devout men, as the sun is the regulator of the seasons; may he, the observer of truth, the slayer of Vṛtra, the ancient, the omniscient convey his adorer (safe) over all difficulties.

दधिक्रामग्निमुषसं च देवीं बृहस्पतिं सवितारं च देवम् । अश्विना मित्रावरुणा भगं च वसून्रुद्राँ आदित्याँ इह हुवे ॥

dadhikrāmagnimuṣasaṃ ca devīṃ bṛhaspatiṃ savitāraṃ ca devam | aśvinā mitrāvaruṇā bhagaṃ ca vasūnrudrā~ ādityā~ iha huve ||

I invoke to this rite, Dadhikrā, Agni, the divine Uṣas, Bṛhaspati, the divine Savitā, the Aśvins, Mitra and Varuṇa, Bhaga, the Vasus, the Rudras, and Ādityas.
