ऋग्वेद 10.174 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अभीवर्तेन हविषा येनेन्द्रो अभिवावृते । तेनास्मान्ब्रह्मणस्पतेऽभि राष्ट्राय वर्तय ॥

abhīvartena haviṣā yenendro abhivāvṛte | tenāsmānbrahmaṇaspate'bhi rāṣṭrāya vartaya ||

By the abhivarta oblation, whereby Indra has conquered (everything), do you, O Brahmaṇaspati, bringname is suggested by the repetition of the derivatives of abhivṛti].

अभिवृत्य सपत्नानभि या नो अरातयः । अभि पृतन्यन्तं तिष्ठाभि यो न इरस्यति ॥

abhivṛtya sapatnānabhi yā no arātayaḥ | abhi pṛtanyantaṃ tiṣṭhābhi yo na irasyati ||

Having overcome our rivals, and those who are our enemies, do you attack him who assails us, andhim who behaves insolently towards us.

अभि त्वा देवः सविताभि सोमो अवीवृतत् । अभि त्वा विश्वा भूतान्यभीवर्तो यथाससि ॥

abhi tvā devaḥ savitābhi somo avīvṛtat | abhi tvā viśvā bhūtānyabhīvarto yathāsasi ||

May te divine Savitā, may Soma establish you, (rājā), may all beings establish you, so that youmay be supreme.

येनेन्द्रो हविषा कृत्व्यभवद्द्युम्न्युत्तमः । इदं तदक्रि देवा असपत्नः किलाभुवम् ॥

yenendro haviṣā kṛtvyabhavaddyumnyuttamaḥ | idaṃ tadakri devā asapatnaḥ kilābhuvam ||

That oblation whereby Indra became heroic, renowned and eminent, I have offered, O gods, (to you),may I become freed from my rivals.

असपत्नः सपत्नहाभिराष्ट्रो विषासहिः । यथाहमेषां भूतानां विराजानि जनस्य च ॥

asapatnaḥ sapatnahābhirāṣṭro viṣāsahiḥ | yathāhameṣāṃ bhūtānāṃ virājāni janasya ca ||

May I become without a rival, the destroyer of my rivals, obtaining the sovereignty, overcoming (myfoes) so that I may reign over these beings and over my people.
