[rv-10-136] • 7 श्लोकाः

केश्यग्निं केशी विषं केशी बिभर्ति रोदसी । केशी विश्वं स्वर्दृशे केशीदं ज्योतिरुच्यते ॥

keśyagniṃ keśī viṣaṃ keśī bibharti rodasī | keśī viśvaṃ svardṛśe keśīdaṃ jyotirucyate ||

The radiant (Sun supports) Agni, the radiant one (supports) water, the radiant one supports theheaven and earth, the radiant one is for the visibility of the whole diffused (universe)-- this light is called theradiant one.

मुनयो वातरशनाः पिशङ्गा वसते मला । वातस्यानु ध्राजिं यन्ति यद्देवासो अविक्षत ॥

munayo vātaraśanāḥ piśaṅgā vasate malā | vātasyānu dhrājiṃ yanti yaddevāso avikṣata ||

The Munis, the sons of Vātaraśana, wear the yellow dirty (vestments of bark), they follow the courseof the wind, when they have assumed the (power of) gods.

उन्मदिता मौनेयेन वाताँ आ तस्थिमा वयम् । शरीरेदस्माकं यूयं मर्तासो अभि पश्यथ ॥

unmaditā mauneyena vātā~ ā tasthimā vayam | śarīredasmākaṃ yūyaṃ martāso abhi paśyatha ||

Exhilarated by the sanctity of the Muni we have mounted upon the winds; behold, mortals, (in them)our forms!

अन्तरिक्षेण पतति विश्वा रूपावचाकशत् । मुनिर्देवस्यदेवस्य सौकृत्याय सखा हितः ॥

antarikṣeṇa patati viśvā rūpāvacākaśat | munirdevasyadevasya saukṛtyāya sakhā hitaḥ ||

The Muni flies through the firmament, illumining all objects, the friend of each deity, appointed forpious works.

वातस्याश्वो वायोः सखाथो देवेषितो मुनिः । उभौ समुद्रावा क्षेति यश्च पूर्व उतापरः ॥

vātasyāśvo vāyoḥ sakhātho deveṣito muniḥ | ubhau samudrāvā kṣeti yaśca pūrva utāparaḥ ||

The steed of the wind, the friend of Vāyu, the Muni, who is instrumental gated by the deity, repairs to bothoceans, the eastern and the western.

अप्सरसां गन्धर्वाणां मृगाणां चरणे चरन् । केशी केतस्य विद्वान्त्सखा स्वादुर्मदिन्तमः ॥

apsarasāṃ gandharvāṇāṃ mṛgāṇāṃ caraṇe caran | keśī ketasya vidvāntsakhā svādurmadintamaḥ ||

Wandering in the track of the Apsarasas and the Gandharvas, and the wild beasts, the radiant (Sun),cognizant of all that is knowable, (is my) sweet and most delightful friend.

वायुरस्मा उपामन्थत्पिनष्टि स्मा कुनन्नमा । केशी विषस्य पात्रेण यद्रुद्रेणापिबत्सह ॥

vāyurasmā upāmanthatpinaṣṭi smā kunannamā | keśī viṣasya pātreṇa yadrudreṇāpibatsaha ||

Vāyu churned for him, the inflexible (thunder) ground it when the radiant (Sun), along with Rudra,drank the water with his cup.
