अबोध्यग्निर्ज्म उदेति सूर्यो व्युषाश्चन्द्रा मह्यावो अर्चिषा । आयुक्षातामश्विना यातवे रथं प्रासावीद्देवः सविता जगत्पृथक् ॥

abodhyagnirjma udeti sūryo vyuṣāścandrā mahyāvo arciṣā | āyukṣātāmaśvinā yātave rathaṃ prāsāvīddevaḥ savitā jagatpṛthak ||

Agni is awakened upon earth; the Sun rises; the spreading dawn, exhilarating (all) by her radiance, has dispersed (the darkness); harness, (therefore), Aśvins your chariot, to come (to the sacrifice), that the divine Savitā may animate allbeings to (the performance of) their several (duties).

यद्युञ्जाथे वृषणमश्विना रथं घृतेन नो मधुना क्षत्रमुक्षतम् । अस्माकं ब्रह्म पृतनासु जिन्वतं वयं धना शूरसाता भजेमहि ॥

yadyuñjāthe vṛṣaṇamaśvinā rathaṃ ghṛtena no madhunā kṣatramukṣatam | asmākaṃ brahma pṛtanāsu jinvataṃ vayaṃ dhanā śūrasātā bhajemahi ||

When, Aśvins, you harness your bounty-shedding chariot, refresh our strength with trickling honey; bestow (abundant) food upon our people; may we acquire riches in the strife of heroes.

अर्वाङ्त्रिचक्रो मधुवाहनो रथो जीराश्वो अश्विनोर्यातु सुष्टुतः । त्रिवन्धुरो मघवा विश्वसौभगः शं न आ वक्षद्द्विपदे चतुष्पदे ॥

arvāṅtricakro madhuvāhano ratho jīrāśvo aśvinoryātu suṣṭutaḥ | trivandhuro maghavā viśvasaubhagaḥ śaṃ na ā vakṣaddvipade catuṣpade ||

May the three-wheeled car of the Aśvins, drawn by swift horses, laden with honey, three-canopied, filled with treasure, and every way auspicious, come to our presence, and bring prosperity to our people and our cattle.

आ न ऊर्जं वहतमश्विना युवं मधुमत्या नः कशया मिमिक्षतम् । प्रायुस्तारिष्टं नी रपांसि मृक्षतं सेधतं द्वेषो भवतं सचाभुवा ॥

ā na ūrjaṃ vahatamaśvinā yuvaṃ madhumatyā naḥ kaśayā mimikṣatam | prāyustāriṣṭaṃ nī rapāṃsi mṛkṣataṃ sedhataṃ dveṣo bhavataṃ sacābhuvā ||

Bring us, Aśvins, vigour; animate us with your honied speech; prolong our existence; wipe away our sins; destroy our foes; be ever our associates.

युवं ह गर्भं जगतीषु धत्थो युवं विश्वेषु भुवनेष्वन्तः । युवमग्निं च वृषणावपश्च वनस्पतीँरश्विनावैरयेथाम् ॥

yuvaṃ ha garbhaṃ jagatīṣu dhattho yuvaṃ viśveṣu bhuvaneṣvantaḥ | yuvamagniṃ ca vṛṣaṇāvapaśca vanaspatī~raśvināvairayethām ||

You, Aśvins, sustain the germ in all moving creatures; you are in the interior of all beings; do you, showerers of benefits, supply (for our own use) fire and water and the trees of the forest.

युवं ह स्थो भिषजा भेषजेभिरथो ह स्थो रथ्या राथ्येभिः । अथो ह क्षत्रमधि धत्थ उग्रा यो वां हविष्मान्मनसा ददाश ॥

yuvaṃ ha stho bhiṣajā bheṣajebhiratho ha stho rathyā rāthyebhiḥ | atho ha kṣatramadhi dhattha ugrā yo vāṃ haviṣmānmanasā dadāśa ||

You two are physicians, (conversant) with (all) medicaments; you ride in a chariot (drawn by) well-trained steeds; therefore, mighty (divinities), resolutely uphold (the worshipper), who, with a mind (devoted to you), offers you oblations.
