General
अङ्गिरस् had eight sons called बृहस्पति , उतथ्य , संवर्त , पयस्य , शान्ति , घोर , विरूप and सुधन्वा . [mh-13-85-30 ] . संवर्त was the third among the sons and he lived on inimical terms with his eldest brother बृहस्पति . When once बृहस्पति forsook king मरुत्त it was संवर्त , who managed for the king his यज्ञ . [mh-12-29-20 ] .

संवर्त is a member of इन्द्र 's court. [mh-2-7-19 ] .
He lives in ब्रह्मा 's court and worships him. [mh-2-11-12 ] .
He once got conducted at प्लक्षावतरण तीर्थ for King मरुत्त a यज्ञ . [mh-3-129-13 ] .
संवर्त and बृहस्पति disliked each other. [mh-7-55-38 ] • [mh-12-29-29 ] .
He was one of those who visited भीष्म on his bed of arrows. [mh-12-47-9 ] .
