रुशमा
[rusama] IAST: RUŚAMĀ
A Priest who had studied the वेदस् well. A story occurs in the ' पञ्चविंशब्राह्मण ', about this priest. Once इन्द्र and रुशमा bet on going round the world. Both got ready and started. But रुशमा walked round कुरुक्षेत्र and returned, while इन्द्र travelled the whole of the way round the world and kept the conditions. The question arose as to who won the bet. The devas gave the decision, " कुरुक्षेत्र is the dais of ब्रह्मा , and so कुरुक्षेत्र contains the entire world. Therefore both इन्द्र and रुशमा were declared to have won the bet."
