A sage. This महर्षि who was a great devotee of विष्णु was born to the brother of नन्दगोप , during the incarnation of विष्णु as कृष्ण , as a daughter named लवङ्गा . (Pātāla Khaṇḍa, Padma, Purāṇa Chapter 72) .
