ऋग्वेद 6.37 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अर्वाग्रथं विश्ववारं त उग्रेन्द्र युक्तासो हरयो वहन्तु । कीरिश्चिद्धि त्वा हवते स्वर्वानृधीमहि सधमादस्ते अद्य ॥

arvāgrathaṃ viśvavāraṃ ta ugrendra yuktāso harayo vahantu | kīriściddhi tvā havate svarvānṛdhīmahi sadhamādaste adya ||

Fierce Indra, let your harnessed steeds bring down your all-desired chariot; your devoted adorer verily invokes you; may we today, partaking of your exhilaration, increase today (in prosperity).

प्रो द्रोणे हरयः कर्माग्मन्पुनानास ऋज्यन्तो अभूवन् । इन्द्रो नो अस्य पूर्व्यः पपीयाद्द्युक्षो मदस्य सोम्यस्य राजा ॥

pro droṇe harayaḥ karmāgmanpunānāsa ṛjyanto abhūvan | indro no asya pūrvyaḥ papīyāddyukṣo madasya somyasya rājā ||

The green Soma flows at our sacrifice, and purified, proceed direct into the pitcher; may the ancient illustrious Indra, the soverign of the exhilarating Soma libation, drink of this our offering.

आसस्राणासः शवसानमच्छेन्द्रं सुचक्रे रथ्यासो अश्वाः । अभि श्रव ऋज्यन्तो वहेयुर्नू चिन्नु वायोरमृतं वि दस्येत् ॥

āsasrāṇāsaḥ śavasānamacchendraṃ sucakre rathyāso aśvāḥ | abhi śrava ṛjyanto vaheyurnū cinnu vāyoramṛtaṃ vi dasyet ||

May the everwhere-going, straight-proceeding, chariot-bearing seeds, bring the mighty Indra uin his strong-wheeled car to our rite; let not the ambrosial Soma waste in the wind.

वरिष्ठो अस्य दक्षिणामियर्तीन्द्रो मघोनां तुविकूर्मितमः । यया वज्रिवः परियास्यंहो मघा च धृष्णो दयसे वि सूरीन् ॥

variṣṭho asya dakṣiṇāmiyartīndro maghonāṃ tuvikūrmitamaḥ | yayā vajrivaḥ pariyāsyaṃho maghā ca dhṛṣṇo dayase vi sūrīn ||

The very strong Indra, the performer of many great deeds, instrumental gates the donation of this (instrumental tutor of the ceremony) among the opulent, whereby, wielder of the thunderbolt, you remove sin, and, firm of purpose, bestow riches upon the worshippers.

इन्द्रो वाजस्य स्थविरस्य दातेन्द्रो गीर्भिर्वर्धतां वृद्धमहाः । इन्द्रो वृत्रं हनिष्ठो अस्तु सत्वा ता सूरिः पृणति तूतुजानः ॥

indro vājasya sthavirasya dātendro gīrbhirvardhatāṃ vṛddhamahāḥ | indro vṛtraṃ haniṣṭho astu satvā tā sūriḥ pṛṇati tūtujānaḥ ||

Indra is the donor of substantial food; may the very illustrious Indra increase (in glory) through our praises; may Indra, the destroyer (of enemies), be the especial slayer of Vṛtra; may he, the animator the quick-mover, grant us those (riches which we desire).
