[rv-3-60] • 7 श्लोकाः

इहेह वो मनसा बन्धुता नर उशिजो जग्मुरभि तानि वेदसा । याभिर्मायाभिः प्रतिजूतिवर्पसः सौधन्वना यज्ञियं भागमानश ॥

iheha vo manasā bandhutā nara uśijo jagmurabhi tāni vedasā | yābhirmāyābhiḥ pratijūtivarpasaḥ saudhanvanā yajñiyaṃ bhāgamānaśa ||

Your connection (with the consequences of acts) ṛbhus is here (acknowledged) by the minds of all; desiring their share (of the sacrifice), oḥ men, they have come with a knowledge (of their claims) to these (rites); the sons of Sudhanvan, with the devices by which they are victorious over foes, you have accepted the share of the sacrifice.

याभिः शचीभिश्चमसाँ अपिंशत यया धिया गामरिणीत चर्मणः । येन हरी मनसा निरतक्षत तेन देवत्वमृभवः समानश ॥

yābhiḥ śacībhiścamasā~ apiṃśata yayā dhiyā gāmariṇīta carmaṇaḥ | yena harī manasā niratakṣata tena devatvamṛbhavaḥ samānaśa ||

With those faculties by which you have divided the ladles; with that intelligence wherewith you have covered the (dead) cow with skin; with that will by which you have fabricated the two horses (of Indra); with those (means), ṛbhus, you have attained divinity.

इन्द्रस्य सख्यमृभवः समानशुर्मनोर्नपातो अपसो दधन्विरे । सौधन्वनासो अमृतत्वमेरिरे विष्ट्वी शमीभिः सुकृतः सुकृत्यया ॥

indrasya sakhyamṛbhavaḥ samānaśurmanornapāto apaso dadhanvire | saudhanvanāso amṛtatvamerire viṣṭvī śamībhiḥ sukṛtaḥ sukṛtyayā ||

The ṛbhus, the performers of (good) works, the grandsons of a man, have attained the friendship of Indra, they have perpetuated (existence); the sons of Sudhanvan have attained immortality; performers of pious acts influencing (the result), through their devotion (they have attained divinity) by their works.

इन्द्रेण याथ सरथं सुते सचाँ अथो वशानां भवथा सह श्रिया । न वः प्रतिमै सुकृतानि वाघतः सौधन्वना ऋभवो वीर्याणि च ॥

indreṇa yātha sarathaṃ sute sacā~ atho vaśānāṃ bhavathā saha śriyā | na vaḥ pratimai sukṛtāni vāghataḥ saudhanvanā ṛbhavo vīryāṇi ca ||

Go with Indra in his chariot when the libation is poured out, and be (welcomed) with honour by the (worshipper) desiring (your favour); ṛbhus, sons of Sudhanvan, bestowers (of the rewards of pious acts), your virtuous deeds, your great faculties, arenot to be mesured.

इन्द्र ऋभुभिर्वाजवद्भिः समुक्षितं सुतं सोममा वृषस्वा गभस्त्योः । धियेषितो मघवन्दाशुषो गृहे सौधन्वनेभिः सह मत्स्वा नृभिः ॥

indra ṛbhubhirvājavadbhiḥ samukṣitaṃ sutaṃ somamā vṛṣasvā gabhastyoḥ | dhiyeṣito maghavandāśuṣo gṛhe saudhanvanebhiḥ saha matsvā nṛbhiḥ ||

Indra, along with the food-bestowing ṛbhus, accept with both hands the (cup of the) effused Soma libation; excited Maghavan, by worship, rejoice with the human sons of Sudhanvan in the dwelling of the donor (of the offering).

इन्द्र ऋभुमान्वाजवान्मत्स्वेह नोऽस्मिन्त्सवने शच्या पुरुष्टुत । इमानि तुभ्यं स्वसराणि येमिरे व्रता देवानां मनुषश्च धर्मभिः ॥

indra ṛbhumānvājavānmatsveha no'smintsavane śacyā puruṣṭuta | imāni tubhyaṃ svasarāṇi yemire vratā devānāṃ manuṣaśca dharmabhiḥ ||

Indra, the praised of many, associated with Ṛbhu, and with Vāja, exult with Śaci, at this our sacrifice; these self-revolving (days) are devoted to you, as well as the ceremonies (addressed) to the gods, and the virtuous acts of man.

इन्द्र ऋभुभिर्वाजिभिर्वाजयन्निह स्तोमं जरितुरुप याहि यज्ञियम् । शतं केतेभिरिषिरेभिरायवे सहस्रणीथो अध्वरस्य होमनि ॥

indra ṛbhubhirvājibhirvājayanniha stomaṃ jariturupa yāhi yajñiyam | śataṃ ketebhiriṣirebhirāyave sahasraṇītho adhvarasya homani ||

Indra, with the food-bestowing Ṛbhus rewarding (worship) with food, come hither to (receive) the reverential praise of the adorer, with a hundred quick-going steeds, the indications (of the Maruts); come to the burnt offering of the sacrifice, yielding a thousand blessings to the sacrificer.
