ऋग्वेद 10.179 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

उत्तिष्ठताव पश्यतेन्द्रस्य भागमृत्वियम् । यदि श्रातो जुहोतन यद्यश्रातो ममत्तन ॥

uttiṣṭhatāva paśyatendrasya bhāgamṛtviyam | yadi śrāto juhotana yadyaśrāto mamattana ||

Rise up, look to the portion of Indra suitable to the season; if it be cooked, offer it; if uncooked, gratifyhim (by praise).

श्रातं हविरो ष्विन्द्र प्र याहि जगाम सूरो अध्वनो विमध्यम् । परि त्वासते निधिभिः सखायः कुलपा न व्राजपतिं चरन्तम् ॥

śrātaṃ haviro ṣvindra pra yāhi jagāma sūro adhvano vimadhyam | pari tvāsate nidhibhiḥ sakhāyaḥ kulapā na vrājapatiṃ carantam ||

Go, Indra, quickly to the oblation which is cooked, the sun is advanced nearly to the middle of hisroad; your friends sit around you with their offerings as the protectors of a family (attend upon) the migrating lordof the mansion.

श्रातं मन्य ऊधनि श्रातमग्नौ सुश्रातं मन्ये तदृतं नवीयः । माध्यंदिनस्य सवनस्य दध्नः पिबेन्द्र वज्रिन्पुरुकृज्जुषाणः ॥

śrātaṃ manya ūdhani śrātamagnau suśrātaṃ manye tadṛtaṃ navīyaḥ | mādhyaṃdinasya savanasya dadhnaḥ pibendra vajrinpurukṛjjuṣāṇaḥ ||

I consider (the oblation) as cooked in the udder (of the cow), I consider it cooked in the fire, I considerthis pure and fresh (oblation) well- cooked; Indra, wielder of the thunderbolt, doer of many deeds, drink wellpleased of the curd of the noon-day sacrifice.
