ऋग्वेद 10.160 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

तीव्रस्याभिवयसो अस्य पाहि सर्वरथा वि हरी इह मुञ्च । इन्द्र मा त्वा यजमानासो अन्ये नि रीरमन्तुभ्यमिमे सुतासः ॥

tīvrasyābhivayaso asya pāhi sarvarathā vi harī iha muñca | indra mā tvā yajamānāso anye ni rīramantubhyamime sutāsaḥ ||

Drink, Indra, of this sharp (Soma, which is) combined with sacrificial food, unyoke here your bay

तुभ्यं सुतास्तुभ्यमु सोत्वासस्त्वां गिरः श्वात्र्या आ ह्वयन्ति । इन्द्रेदमद्य सवनं जुषाणो विश्वस्य विद्वाँ इह पाहि सोमम् ॥

tubhyaṃ sutāstubhyamu sotvāsastvāṃ giraḥ śvātryā ā hvayanti | indredamadya savanaṃ juṣāṇo viśvasya vidvā~ iha pāhi somam ||

For you are the libations that have been poured out, for you are those which are to be poured out; youdo our quickly uttered praises invoke; Indra, who are cognizant of all things, taking plural asure in this presentsacrifice, drink the Soma here.

य उशता मनसा सोममस्मै सर्वहृदा देवकामः सुनोति । न गा इन्द्रस्तस्य परा ददाति प्रशस्तमिच्चारुमस्मै कृणोति ॥

ya uśatā manasā somamasmai sarvahṛdā devakāmaḥ sunoti | na gā indrastasya parā dadāti praśastamiccārumasmai kṛṇoti ||

He who devoted to the deity with a willing mind offers the Soma to him with all his heart, Indra, doesnot destroy his cattloe, but gives him beautiful excellent (wealth).

अनुस्पष्टो भवत्येषो अस्य यो अस्मै रेवान्न सुनोति सोमम् । निररत्नौ मघवा तं दधाति ब्रह्मद्विषो हन्त्यनानुदिष्टः ॥

anuspaṣṭo bhavatyeṣo asya yo asmai revānna sunoti somam | niraratnau maghavā taṃ dadhāti brahmadviṣo hantyanānudiṣṭaḥ ||

He is mindful of him who, as a rich man, offers Soma to him; possessed of riches (Indra) holds him inhis hand, and unsolicited destroys (his enemies) who hate the Brāhmaṇa.

अश्वायन्तो गव्यन्तो वाजयन्तो हवामहे त्वोपगन्तवा उ । आभूषन्तस्ते सुमतौ नवायां वयमिन्द्र त्वा शुनं हुवेम ॥

aśvāyanto gavyanto vājayanto havāmahe tvopagantavā u | ābhūṣantaste sumatau navāyāṃ vayamindra tvā śunaṃ huvema ||

Wishing for horses, for cattle, for food, we invoke you, Indra, that you may come; abiding within yournew favour we invoke you, Indra, the giver of happiness.
