ऋग्वेद 10.156 (श्लोक 1) - Project अर्थ (Artha)

अग्निं हिन्वन्तु नो धियः सप्तिमाशुमिवाजिषु । तेन जेष्म धनंधनम् ॥

agniṃ hinvantu no dhiyaḥ saptimāśumivājiṣu | tena jeṣma dhanaṃdhanam ||

May our rites bring Agni here like a swift charger in battle, may we through him acquire all wealth.

यया गा आकरामहे सेनयाग्ने तवोत्या । तां नो हिन्व मघत्तये ॥

yayā gā ākarāmahe senayāgne tavotyā | tāṃ no hinva maghattaye ||

Send us, Agni, for the acquisition of wealth, that army with which we may acquire cattle through yourprotection

आग्ने स्थूरं रयिं भर पृथुं गोमन्तमश्विनम् । अङ्धि खं वर्तया पणिम् ॥

āgne sthūraṃ rayiṃ bhara pṛthuṃ gomantamaśvinam | aṅdhi khaṃ vartayā paṇim ||

Bring us, Agni, substantial and extensive wealth, consisting of cattle and horses, sprinkle the sky (withrain), expel Paṇi.

अग्ने नक्षत्रमजरमा सूर्यं रोहयो दिवि । दधज्ज्योतिर्जनेभ्यः ॥

agne nakṣatramajaramā sūryaṃ rohayo divi | dadhajjyotirjanebhyaḥ ||

You, Agni, have elevated the imperishable plural net, the Sun, in the firmament, giving light to the people.

अग्ने केतुर्विशामसि प्रेष्ठः श्रेष्ठ उपस्थसत् । बोधा स्तोत्रे वयो दधत् ॥

agne keturviśāmasi preṣṭhaḥ śreṣṭha upasthasat | bodhā stotre vayo dadhat ||

You, Agni, are the best beloved and most excellent banner of the people; understand (our praise)giving food to the praiser.
