[rv-10-133] • 7 श्लोकाः

प्रो ष्वस्मै पुरोरथमिन्द्राय शूषमर्चत । अभीके चिदु लोककृत्संगे समत्सु वृत्रहास्माकं बोधि चोदिता नभन्तामन्यकेषां ज्याका अधि धन्वसु ॥

pro ṣvasmai purorathamindrāya śūṣamarcata | abhīke cidu lokakṛtsaṃge samatsu vṛtrahāsmākaṃ bodhi coditā nabhantāmanyakeṣāṃ jyākā adhi dhanvasu ||

Adore fervently the might of that Indra which goes before his chariot; he who makes room for us in the(the adoration paid by us); may the bowstrings on the bows of our enemies be destroyed.

त्वं सिन्धूँरवासृजोऽधराचो अहन्नहिम् । अशत्रुरिन्द्र जज्ञिषे विश्वं पुष्यसि वार्यं तं त्वा परि ष्वजामहे नभन्तामन्यकेषां ज्याका अधि धन्वसु ॥

tvaṃ sindhū~ravāsṛjo'dharāco ahannahim | aśatrurindra jajñiṣe viśvaṃ puṣyasi vāryaṃ taṃ tvā pari ṣvajāmahe nabhantāmanyakeṣāṃ jyākā adhi dhanvasu ||

You have sent the rivers away downwards, you have slain Ahi; you are born, Indra, without an enemy,you grant all that is desirable, as such we embrace you; may the bowstrings on the bows of our enemies bedestroyed.

वि षु विश्वा अरातयोऽर्यो नशन्त नो धियः । अस्तासि शत्रवे वधं यो न इन्द्र जिघांसति या ते रातिर्ददिर्वसु नभन्तामन्यकेषां ज्याका अधि धन्वसु ॥

vi ṣu viśvā arātayo'ryo naśanta no dhiyaḥ | astāsi śatrave vadhaṃ yo na indra jighāṃsati yā te rātirdadirvasu nabhantāmanyakeṣāṃ jyākā adhi dhanvasu ||

May all our assailants, who make no offerings, quickly perish, may our praises (be successful); you,Indra, hurl the weapon at the foe who seeks to slay us, may that liberal (hand) of yours be the giver of wealth (tous); may the bowstrings on the bows of our enemies be destroyed.

यो न इन्द्राभितो जनो वृकायुरादिदेशति । अधस्पदं तमीं कृधि विबाधो असि सासहिर्नभन्तामन्यकेषां ज्याका अधि धन्वसु ॥

yo na indrābhito jano vṛkāyurādideśati | adhaspadaṃ tamīṃ kṛdhi vibādho asi sāsahirnabhantāmanyakeṣāṃ jyākā adhi dhanvasu ||

The man who, like a wolf, prowls around us, O Indra, cast him beneath our feet, for you are theresister, the overcomer (of foes); may the bowstrings on the bows of our enemies be destroyed.

यो न इन्द्राभिदासति सनाभिर्यश्च निष्ट्यः । अव तस्य बलं तिर महीव द्यौरध त्मना नभन्तामन्यकेषां ज्याका अधि धन्वसु ॥

yo na indrābhidāsati sanābhiryaśca niṣṭyaḥ | ava tasya balaṃ tira mahīva dyauradha tmanā nabhantāmanyakeṣāṃ jyākā adhi dhanvasu ||

He who assails us, Indra, whether he be of the same caste or of degraded caste-- scatter of yourselfhis host, (though it be vast) as the wide heaven; may the bowstrings on the bows of our enemies be destroyed.

वयमिन्द्र त्वायवः सखित्वमा रभामहे । ऋतस्य नः पथा नयाति विश्वानि दुरिता नभन्तामन्यकेषां ज्याका अधि धन्वसु ॥

vayamindra tvāyavaḥ sakhitvamā rabhāmahe | ṛtasya naḥ pathā nayāti viśvāni duritā nabhantāmanyakeṣāṃ jyākā adhi dhanvasu ||

Devoted to you, Indra, we strive after your friendship; lea\d us by the path of sacrifice beyond all evils;may the bowstrings on the bows of our enemies be destroyed.

अस्मभ्यं सु त्वमिन्द्र तां शिक्ष या दोहते प्रति वरं जरित्रे । अच्छिद्रोध्नी पीपयद्यथा नः सहस्रधारा पयसा मही गौः ॥

asmabhyaṃ su tvamindra tāṃ śikṣa yā dohate prati varaṃ jaritre | acchidrodhnī pīpayadyathā naḥ sahasradhārā payasā mahī gauḥ ||

Give to us, Indra, (the cow) who gives milk to the worshipper according to his desire, so that themighty cow, possessed of an unfailing udder, the shedder of a thousand streams, may supply us plural ntifully withmilk.
