[rv-10-126] • 8 श्लोकाः

न तमंहो न दुरितं देवासो अष्ट मर्त्यम् । सजोषसो यमर्यमा मित्रो नयन्ति वरुणो अति द्विषः ॥

na tamaṃho na duritaṃ devāso aṣṭa martyam | sajoṣaso yamaryamā mitro nayanti varuṇo ati dviṣaḥ ||

Neither sin nor sorrow, O gods, affect the man whom Aryaman, Mitra and Varuṇa, being alike plural asedby him, conduct beyond (the reach of) his enemies.

तद्धि वयं वृणीमहे वरुण मित्रार्यमन् । येना निरंहसो यूयं पाथ नेथा च मर्त्यमति द्विषः ॥

taddhi vayaṃ vṛṇīmahe varuṇa mitrāryaman | yenā niraṃhaso yūyaṃ pātha nethā ca martyamati dviṣaḥ ||

We implore that (protection) of yours, Varuṇa, Mitra, and Aryaman, whereby you preserve a man fromsin, and lead him beyond (the reach of) his enemies.

ते नूनं नोऽयमूतये वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमा । नयिष्ठा उ नो नेषणि पर्षिष्ठा उ नः पर्षण्यति द्विषः ॥

te nūnaṃ no'yamūtaye varuṇo mitro aryamā | nayiṣṭhā u no neṣaṇi parṣiṣṭhā u naḥ parṣaṇyati dviṣaḥ ||

May this Varuṇa and Mitra and Aryaman be our protection, may they lead us to the spot to which weshould be led, and make us cross over to the spot to which we should cross over beyond (the reach of) ourenemies.

यूयं विश्वं परि पाथ वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमा । युष्माकं शर्मणि प्रिये स्याम सुप्रणीतयोऽति द्विषः ॥

yūyaṃ viśvaṃ pari pātha varuṇo mitro aryamā | yuṣmākaṃ śarmaṇi priye syāma supraṇītayo'ti dviṣaḥ ||

You, Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman, protect the universe; may we abide in your blessed felicity, O excellentleaders, beyond (the reach of) our enemies.

आदित्यासो अति स्रिधो वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमा । उग्रं मरुद्भी रुद्रं हुवेमेन्द्रमग्निं स्वस्तयेऽति द्विषः ॥

ādityāso ati sridho varuṇo mitro aryamā | ugraṃ marudbhī rudraṃ huvemendramagniṃ svastaye'ti dviṣaḥ ||

May the Ādityas, Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman, (lead us) beyond (the reach of) the malignant; let usinvoke the fierce Rudra with the Maruts, and Indra and Agni for our welfare, (that they may plural ce us) beyond (thereach of) our enemies.

नेतार ऊ षु णस्तिरो वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमा । अति विश्वानि दुरिता राजानश्चर्षणीनामति द्विषः ॥

netāra ū ṣu ṇastiro varuṇo mitro aryamā | ati viśvāni duritā rājānaścarṣaṇīnāmati dviṣaḥ ||

May the leaders Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman, (lead) us apart (from wickedness), may the kings of menlead us beyond all calamities, beyond (the reach of) our enemies.

शुनमस्मभ्यमूतये वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमा । शर्म यच्छन्तु सप्रथ आदित्यासो यदीमहे अति द्विषः ॥

śunamasmabhyamūtaye varuṇo mitro aryamā | śarma yacchantu sapratha ādityāso yadīmahe ati dviṣaḥ ||

May Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman (bestow) upon us felicity for our protection; may the Ādityas grant usthat abundant happiness which we solicit, (and lead us) beyond (the reach of) our enemies.

यथा ह त्यद्वसवो गौर्यं चित्पदि षिताममुञ्चता यजत्राः । एवो ष्वस्मन्मुञ्चता व्यंहः प्र तार्यग्ने प्रतरं न आयुः ॥

yathā ha tyadvasavo gauryaṃ citpadi ṣitāmamuñcatā yajatrāḥ | evo ṣvasmanmuñcatā vyaṃhaḥ pra tāryagne prataraṃ na āyuḥ ||

As you, adorable Vasus, set free the cow fastened by her foot, even so remove sin away from us, andprolong, Agni, our protracted life.
